SEC passes rule barring NFL, NBA & WNBA players from coming back to school
Thamel reported 16-0 vote. So I believe that.

SEC passes rule barring NFL, NBA & WNBA players from coming back to school
So 16-0 vote. LSU must have a judge up their sleeve still haha. Public vote makes them look better than the slime they are. But I'm sure they will be expecting judicial relief. Still see a showdown coming between the SEC and then.

SEC passes rule barring NFL, NBA & WNBA players from coming back to school
So what are the penalties though. Big10 can punish HC with lost games and school fines. I'll wait to hear what Sankey is actually willing to do to those that try this. Will see.

RIP Dolly Parton
In a time where it was hard to be nice and humble, she always managed it well. Even in political times she got her point across respectfully. We will never know all the things she did to help people. Damn shame there aren't more like her. But her works of kindness will go on no doubt. RIP we will always love you!!

SEC statement on latest developments with players returning from NFL
Yes Ross Dellenger said it was already planned , but takes on more urgency now. Their Plan B about self governance etc. Guess we will see if they are willing to do more than a statement.

Jalen Brewster is on the move
Ha what rules anymore . Except being a former coach I know how strict Texas UIL transfers are , as we have seen lately. My feeling from the Georgia Boards are they aren't too fond of Buford , don't get a lot of kids from there. The NIL deal really only affects big time players. And I can understand wanting to leave Texas to go to a state that allows payments before you enroll at the University. In Texas you can now sign contracts, but no pay until enrollment. Imo that needs to change, but the Coaching lobby so far is against that. Good discussion and we will see.

Jalen Brewster is on the move
Everything I have read seems he will be eligible as long as the family does establish residency. Be fun to watch. This isn't Buford's first rodeo at this from what I gather. Will see .

Jalen Brewster is on the move
He will be playing in a new 62 million dollar stadium. And going to school at a new 85 million dollar campus as well. Nice facilities to finish your HS career.

Jalen Brewster is on the move
Some say it makes it easier for him to graduate there in December. Who knows but he can get NIL $ in Georgia now unlike Texas. So that probably came into play. Plus the UIL would never let him transfer in Texas to help with the December graduation. In Georgia all you have to do is actually live in the zone, no waiting. So I'm sure they got them a place there ready to move in ha!

…..uh oh
Man whatever is going on , I feel for his son. He is still on the team as far as I know , and now his Dad threatening to expose stuff etc. Culture test coming early lol. Hopefully just isolated mess if anything. But they all should understand those checks stop once you leave or get dismissed. Oh well another day on the 40 .

What's next for Texas at linebacker after Ty'Anthony Smith's departure? | Friday, 7:05 p.m.
Hard to keep up with all the NCAA eligibility requirements. But I assume Ty has to take classes somewhere this fall to stay on track to be eligible for the 27 football season. . But can't portal until Jan? Just wondered since this is a unique case it seems. Doubt he will attend class at UT of course, and the scholarship being gone etc. Sure if somebody wants him they always find a way it seems lol. I mean to get him at their school to be ready for 27 offseason. And no I don't think a judge can help him play in 26 haha. But guess I should never say never !

I can see Texas kicking the tires at a couple of guys. But with these Court decisions, you never know one day to the next . Any addition couldn't help now , but by mid season who knows. Probably ride it out, and do the best with what we have at lb.

Obviously he is gone so really doesn't matter. But being reported elsewhere Sark dismissed him , he didn't actually quit. Be interesting to nail that down, move on, and wish all the best. Treat it like an injury and next youngsters up lol.

Tyanthony no longer with team
I can see kicking the tires on the JMU linebacker. Yeah it's late , but gonna be a long season. Injuries are bound to happen. I would assume this didn't blindside Texas. So maybe they have already been looking just in case. Or they feel confident in the youngsters . That's why they get paid the big bucks 👍

More lawsuit craziness
I think Sankey sent out something about the SEC transfer rules being in place regardless of the court decision. So the guys would have to go back to their original teams I think . Who knows , but my $ is on LSU defying everybody 😂

Sources: Trevor Goosby's left knee injury diagnosed as a bone bruise
So the good news is it is not season ending. But depending on the severity of the bruise it could be 5-6 weeks . Or less who knows now without more info. Of course he will get the best care so hopefully that timeline is on the lower end. Pretty painful injury though for sure.

What we know on Trevor Goosby | Tuesday Update 10:45 a.m.
It happened at Monday night practice not Monday morning .

What we know on Trevor Goosby | Tuesday Update 10:45 a.m.
Athletic trainers always do a couple of tests immediately on the area. They usually give a pretty good idea on the injury. But the MRI confirms the severity of a tear or sprain if at all etc. So obviously there was some looseness etc. Just hope for the best .

Pope to Aggy
They got a stay from the Ohio Appeals Court today. But the Colorado ruling is still out there. So who really knows how fast these Court cases can get resolved, if at all. So for now still all steam ahead it seems.

Note on Tyanthony Smith (Sat. 8:04am CT)
Whatever is / was going on will come out eventually. Two things can be true with flu, and some other playing issues. Just seems too many stories from various sites on things going on this week, to totally disregard. Also not to totally overreact if and until necessary with more info etc lol. Whatever does or doesn't happen never gonna trash a kid even with more info. I do hope he is okay and getting the support he needs that's all for now👍

Recruiting nuggets on Easton Royal, DJ Jacobs | 1:20 p.m. CT
Every day that Royal stays with us drives the LSU Swampers crazy. All their so called Insiders said he wouldn't take his OV here. Mom had to make him haha. Then flipping on his Birthday etc. Now it's will will get him by December lol . I love seeing them squirm. Seems their Brewster momentum is gone as well. I'm not naive, they will hound Royal forever. And he could flip of course. The pressure will only get crazier. But so far so good.👍

Protect College Sports Act latest draft
Interesting to see what litigation will come if this passes both Chambers. As it stands now Football gets 75% of Rev Share out of 18 million, or 13.5 million. If the percentage stays the same then almost 17 million in Retention $. Total of 30-31 million. Again percentages could change in the future if this passes. Now MBB gets 15% or 2.7 million. WBB gets 5% 900K, and all others sports 900K in Rev Share. Be interesting to see how it works. And yeah athletes in the future got screwed it seems. No collective bargaining etc. Can still get NIL deals that don't count toward the Rev Share , but seems that will be much harder now. Seems those Learfield, Nike deals etc will count on Rev Share going forward. Will see , because things can definitely change in the House.

Save College Sports Act
May be on the brink of a deal . At least for now, but such a long way to go even then. https://x.com/RossDellenger/status/2083349983437156769?s=20

Save College Sports Act
At least in the Senate the tide may have turned again. According to Dellenger the 2 conferences are close to supporting it now. Of course still a long way to go. But with the cap going to 50 million, get ready for patches on all UT Jerseys 🤣 https://x.com/RossDellenger/status/2083345491635446035?s=20
