  1. No, but the coverage wasn't skewed towards Smith like was made out.
  2. Um, pretty much most people have Ohio State as the favourite to win? Lol.
  3. You don't want to run a toss play at the 1 yard line again? Too soon?
  4. I think you're reading a little too much into that.
  5. I swear, some of the people asking questions at these things lol.
  6. I don't know why I thought Mateer was like 6'4/6'5 lol.
  7. I can't even buy that here in Australia, so I just use "legal websites" to watch the games. Though I'm not sure if I'll be able to catch this one live, I need my beauty sleep after all lol.
  8. I don't know about that but he was the biggest fanboy I've ever seen. Most other Ohio State people I've seen were much more rational in their talk of their team lol.
  9. Man I imagine what a guy like Bijan would look like in a 2023-2024 version of Texas, probably helps get us over the hump, imo. He's probably the first guy most of us are going to think of but plenty of great #5's at Texas.
  10. According to Tim May, Ohio State has the best player ever at every position and Texas is scared, might as well not even show up lol.
  11. Not sure, I completely forgot he was on the Kansas team. Warner, the QB for Fresno State was getting hurried all game long, so I'm not sure he had much of a chance to do anything. Hope he balls out there, really liked Finkley.
  12. You'll have a hard time flipping any WR from Ohio State while Hartline is there and until the guys we recruit start actually producing at a high level. So far one WR recruit from Sark's tenure has made an impact, that being Xavier Worthy. Not trying to throw shade, that's just the truth right now, imo.
  13. Well Texas doesn't have to travel to Ireland to play a game, so I don't think Texas will look this bad. Saw a few other games and teams looked pretty crisp. Was watching Kansas vs Fresno State, they looked pretty good.
  14. Maybe he should "point" at someone, refs don't seem to like that either lol.
  15. No sh*t? I might check that game out.
  16. I like that Coach Sark has changed his thought process on his QB's. Before he wanted statues like Ewers and Owens but since then he's landed Manning, Lacey and now Bell. All are very mobile QB's, who can make all the throws he wants. Need your QB to be mobile these days. Even looking at the NFL with how mobile QB's are now.
  17. He tried a few guys, Golding, Odum I think when he was at Arky. I don't think he went after PK at first because no one thought he'd leave that area of the country and go down to Texas. Though I would've been happy to keep Coach Ash, I thought he was pretty good. Same with Giles, he recruited really well.
  18. Wasn't this the DC t hat Sark tried to bring with him when he first came to Texas? Maybe it was a good thing he didn't.
  19. Ah good call on Tate, I had completely forgotten about him being a stud in that game. Either way, we'll definitely have our hands full. Will really test the communication and skill of the secondary. Good thing is, all of them are 3+ year guys now. That helps a lot and having been in the same system. Should be a fun battle. If the pass rush can get home and rattle Sayin, will be a long day for the Ohio State O. I'm kinda disappointed it's not a night game but it'll still be awesome to see our Longhorns go in there and battle hard.
  20. I'm pretty sure I was reading that they consider the OU game eithe away (even years) or home (odd years). So does that count for the home and away games or no? Because I was reading the SEC considers it that way. Because technically, we're the "home" team in the RRR this year.
  21. Holy baby Jesus, look at the line up for that show. Congrats on getting this set up Blake, look forward to seeing this.
  22. Yeah I agree, Brock Bower was a special talent at TE, Klare is good but no way would I compare him to Bowers lol.
  23. Klare is good but he's nowhere near Bowers, that's a crazy comparison lol. Good TE but I don't know if I'd go that far. Agree with you about Smith, but Tate and Innis aren't on the same level as Egbuka, imo. He was a legit 1st round talent and a stud at WR with Smith. I don't recall Tate having a big game against us but I'd have to go and look it up. I think Texas needs to get pressure and rattle Sayin, get in his head. They'll also disguise how they take on Smith. I'm not worried tbh, I think it'll be a great game and exciting. Tons of NFL talent all over the field in this one.
