  1. I trust Eltife over someone getting up in their feelings. Thanks for posting, Bobby.
  2. Well put it this way, if he screws with any of that, he won't be President very long lol.
  3. Texas brand is back on the rise, Arch mania, great reporting and consistent content from the team and they're still growing. I mean who else pumps out literal content at a high level, interacts with the fans and does their best to answer worries, concerns or the same question every day? None better than OTF in the business right now, imo. Not trying to brown nose either, it's just pure facts. If this season goes the way most of us expect, the channel will continue to boom.
  4. Boy this topic took off from yesterday lol.
  5. That's actually some good growth from Arch, if true. Because one of the knocks on him, was he wasn't willing or didn't look to check down as much as say Ewers did, when it was necessary to do so.
  6. Sure maybe. I think Sark is the playcaller, but Flood definitely runs things when it comes to outside of playcalling. It's impossible for Sark to run the team as the HC and be the OC at the same time. I'm not sure it's just a title for pay purposes. But if it is, then I'm happy to be wrong on that.
  7. Be interesting to see a thread started on this and get peoples thoughts on Flood and the recruitment/development of the OL. No bigger task than getting this OL ready this year. Who is even better than Flood? It wouldn't be just replacing an OL coach but also your OC.
  8. I know people will hit the panic button, but I do like that the staff is extra careful with injuries. No reason to risk these guys in practices if we don't need to. As for the OL reshuffling, it's nothing new. Literally everyone does. Hell, even Ohio State has been doing it this fall camp. Texas did it last year, too. I like that they're trying new ways to see how the line looks, etc. Goosby will be back and ready to rumble against Ohio State.
  9. I wouldn't say they were mortal in the playoffs, they still kicked ass.
  10. I was certain that the Michigan was next year but thanks for the correction.
  11. Pretty sure we know that Ohio State won't be on the schedule until 2027. From what I remember, the deals were made for @Michigan in '24, @ Ohio State in '25 and then they return the favor by coming to Austin in '26 (Michigan) and '27 (Ohio State).
  12. This is true and his talent is evident, even Sark was recruiting him hard before Manning committed and both parties kinda just drifted apart. But this is in practice, no? When he was teams coming after him and in his face, can he still make those throws? Can he do this while progressing his reads, etc? The same is true for Manning. We've seen him under duress and come out to make plays and also struggle. Have you seen that from Sayin yet? Has he experienced that the college level? I do agree that it can't come soon enough, either way it'll be a fun game and I will say, I do appreciate you being cordial with us and not coming here to troll.
  13. To be honest, take that same gameplan against Smith and employ it again. Ohio State doesn't have the same caliber of RB's it had last year, their other WR's are good but not the caliber of Smith. Klare is a threat at TE but I think if you do what you did against Smith again and combine that with your pass rush to rattle Sayin, that is a recipe for success. Smith is his safety blanket. Sayin isn't as mobile as Howard and can't extend the play like he did and doesn't have the experience Howard had. Now their OL I'm not sure if it's as good or better, but they're replacing 4 starters like us. So, like our guys, will take some time to gel. No reason to over think it, imo. While they have other great WR's, none come close to Smith. Taking him out of the game (again) should be the main focus.
  14. I don't why but when I was listing off those teams at the end, I felt the urge to suddenly follow the yellow brick road.
  15. The biggest indicator of if we're going to win or not, won't have anything to do with Arch (ironically). It will have to do with how well this OL run blocks and if we can run the ball at will on teams.
  16. I was disappointed we didn't land Greathouse, dude is a beast.
  17. We should start a thread about this and keep it pinned or something. I'm always curious to see how former Longhorns are doing once they transfer. But I always forget where everyone goes lol. Glad to hear this about Finkley and sad that he's no longer a Longhorn, but hope he kills it at Kansas.
  18. I think he's going to surprise some people.
  19. I wasn't directing my comment at you, just stating that Stanfords O sucked ass. They spent most of the season trying to figure out how to best utilize him. By the time they did, the season was pretty much over.
  20. Stanfords O sucks ass lol. The fact he was making as many plays as he did, was great. Hope they're holding him out to get him healthy, because we're going to need him. I think Livingstone, Wingo and Moore are great WR's but having a 4th who's great also helps.
  21. I'm sorry, no one is going to convince me that Helm wasn't the best TE in the draft. I couldn't believe the guy from Michigan went that high in the draft when Helm was better.
  22. How c an you say the OL is championship caliber when you're replacing 4 starters yourself? Plus you had transfers come in there? Your WR and TE, I agree with. But as you said, you're an Ohio State guy so you're going to say those things, similar to how we are.
  23. Why do people keep saying our OL is young? You have 3 guys going into their 4th year, another into his 3rd and the last into his 2nd? That hardly seems young to me. Some inexperience? Yes but for the most part not very young. As for the defensive staff at Ohio State, my recollection is that only the DC is new and they retained pretty much everyone, except the coach we took from them. Their D has some really good players but I don't know that it's close to what it was last year and obviously a new guy at the helm leading the D. Offensively, I think their OL is going to take longer to gel than ours. A couple of transfers from what I remember and they still aren't set on guys at their positions or even a group as a whole. A QB who hasn't played much, good RB's but not anywhere near what they had last year. The one area they most likely out shine us is WR and TE. Not that Endries is bad, but we wanted Klare first. If not for the proximity to home, he might be in burnt orange. As for a score, I'm not real good with those. Maybe we return the favour and win 28-14? Don't know if Texas goes down early, but who really knows. Tough road game environment, against a very high quality opponent. Anyway, good post
