  1. I don't have a problem with the hire, don't have a dog in the fight, so to speak. From what I've read about the situation, wasn't he found to have no wrong doing in a court of law? I mean the University is the one who covered it up and they pretty much got a slap on the wrist and kept it pushing. Briles is the one who bore the brunt of the punishment and was scapegoated, along with several other key figures. In saying all that, he deserves a chance at redemption and should be heavily monitored. That's just what I've read about the situation, so I could be wrong.
  2. Yeah but Arkansas' D is flat out terrible lol. It didn't look good the previous week against a Georgia team that isn't that good defensively.
  3. Well, does he also have better weapons around him? That's important, too. Compared to the last couple of years, there is a significant drop in talent with the previous guys to these guys.
  4. Not to try and compare too much, but he's also statistically having a better first year starting than Ewers, although Ewers was younger when he first started. I'm proud of the way he's battled through the season. Now we just hope Sark can put the pieces around him to elevate to the next level.
  5. Some people are just better at the college level, maybe Sark can give him a ring and we can go win a natty next year. Joking of course, we all know Sark isn't going to hand the offense off to someone else. Although it would be pretty funny to hire him and see where it goes.
  6. That's funny because I could've sworn PK's D carried the team the last couple of years. Otherwise we would've had a few more losses with some porous offense at times. If those are the guys they're recruiting than it works counter to what PK likes to do and that is run zone coverage. So either Sark did no research when hiring PK or he's forcing him to run a D scheme that he doesn't want to. I'd say a lot of the blame is placed on Akina, I mean two weeks installing a scheme they ran against Georgia that did absolutely nothing but confuse the secondary even more lol. So now I guess we're back on the "it's all PK's fault and he needs to be fired" train, but anyone else under performs and it's silly to talk about it. I don't disagree that it's been bad this year, but there seems to be a lot of disconnect between what Sark wants, what PK runs and then what Nansen and Akina input. Too many cooks in the kitchen.
  7. Not so sure it's bend but don't break he wants to play. Because they are one of the top teams in the country for sacks and they get plenty of pressure. There was a clear progression year over year with the secondary. Gideon/Joseph gone and an entire new room of DB coaches. Maybe they don't mesh well, maybe there's too many cooks in the kitchen, who knows. But apparently now PK is the problem lol. I can't say it isn't surprising though, I knew there would be a drop off but I didn't think it would be this big of a drop off.
  8. I'm not sure we let him flip, as much as he wanted to stay closer to home and he has family that played there, no?
  9. You had TE's that could run it or that he actually utilized out of it. It's never really been that great blocking wise but this year might be one of the worst it's been. He should stick with 11 and go to 10, see what's what.
  10. Well pretty much everyone won, so gg? Lol. It seems like OU is similar to Texas last year. Good D and terrible O. Also, what was with that score with Georgia? All of a sudden they don't look as good offensively against some weak team lol.
  11. I'm not sure what Sark's fascination is with 12 personnel? If you want to run it, recruit actual TE's not tweener WR's.
  12. I know Taaffe has had his injury issues this year but he's taken a massive step back from last year. Thought he'd be able to be a stabilizing voice for the secondary and it hasn't done much of anything. Our guys don't make many plays on the ball, there is also a steep drop off in talent from the starters to back ups (who we're supposed to rely on next year). A&M has the talent to punish us in the middle of the field and on the edges, similar to Miss State but worse. They also have a running QB who we seem to be unable to defend now. I'm expecting another shoot out, I know we have new DB coaches but I was not expecting such a drop off from last year. Especially the guys there all have a good level experience/time in the program. I bet if Ohio State had aired it out more instead of playing conservative they would've exposed this a lot sooner. Anyway congrats to the boys for the win and lets go win next week, see where the cards of destiny land for us and let's start prepping this team for a better year, next year.
  13. Damn, I was pretty close with my 48-38 prediction lol.
  14. I think he still has another year of eligibility. I'm just not sure that Cruz will want to sit another year.
  15. That's cute wanting a shootout when our offense is just as bad lol.
  16. Why would he change QB's? The QB is the least of our issues.
  17. Their D is bad but we have played bad D's and made them look like the best defense ever. Their O is legit and scary considering our struggles on that side of the ball recently. Texas 48 Arkansas 38
  18. Didn't we do the same thing?
  19. That would suck if true. Maybe that's why the NFL stuff keeps popping up, less work load and more time off?
  20. Wasn't she trying to divorce him last year or something?
  21. I feel like him firing those 3 would be scapegoating, wouldn't it? But I don't disagree with what you're saying in general.
  22. Why would his son enroll there when he wouldn't be heading to LSU anytime soon? He's likely to make the playoffs at Ole Miss. The move doesn't make much sense to me. Not saying you're sources are or aren't reliable but I just don't think LSU is the go to move right now.
  23. I honestly think he's going to stay at Ole Miss.
