    This and the claims that Sark can't call plays and be the HC at the same time is really weird. We have one of the best defenses in the country and an inconsistent first year starting QB. Let's not make it bigger than it is.

    This is true. ND and Clemson are out of the playoffs without some serious external help. Florida and South Carolina have more systemic problems. Truth is that no team in the SEC has clearly separated. No one has laid the wood to a serious contender.

    I know Sark said he was going to stay aggressive on fourth downs, especially early in games, but I'd like to see them at least take points early and as often as necessary. Coming away with nothing after multiple opportunities is psychologically deflating. With this defense, all points are a killer for the opposition. For Arch specifically, I agree with spreading out. Do that and run some tempo to manufacture rhythm. Less time to overthink and just go.

    Offense in college football doesn't dominate like it did from say 2014-2020. Defenses have caught up by disguising looks and basically playing pass first and run second. You simply don't have championship teams putting up offensive numbers like 2019 LSU or 2020 Bama.

    Offensively, Sark is banking on Arch and future QBs playing really well. That's not a bad bet. When we add Arch to Wingo, and hopefully clean up some of the penalties, it should help open the run game more and make things more consistent. Our defense with a consistent offense that provides explosive plays will be very difficult to beat. That combo would have beaten OSU.

    That goes to the investment part. Recruited more high level defensive players. Forgot about Trey Moore. He'll be drafted too.

    Better enjoy this defense. We're losing seven to eight starter level guys: Brevard, Shaw, Burke, Hill, Gilbeau, Taaffe, Muhammed, and maybe McDonald.

    The defense is more experienced and there's been more investment in the defense over the last couple of years.

    Many of the top ranked teams have inexperienced QBs this season. Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia and Notre Dame all chose to go with a QB who was developing on their roster last year but didn't really play much. I'm sure some of it came down to QBs available in the portal. Many of those teams had portal QBs last year that were fifth and sixth year players. Not available now.

    Do we know what is keeping Wisner out? I know they said lower leg, but that's pretty general.

    After all the talk we heard about Clark being explosive and looking good, his actual play was just bad. He had holes and creases, but he danced around and got tackled. Hopefully it was a literal jitters thing and he'll actually run up field.

    I doubt Mosely is a starter when he comes back. He'll probably rotate at x and z.

    That's true. Sark denied DK tickets to come to Texas games when DK asked thereafter. Too full of himself. High school boys better know who they are unless they're Kobe.

    I think white chocolate has been more productive than DK to this point. Long way to go.
