  2. If they can find a dozen wins in SEC play that would be great. Would like to see Texas split the Florida games and finally beat Arkansas and Tennessee. Hold down home court and find 3-4 road wins and that should be enough to lock up a 1 or 2 seed, especially if they get a double bye and make a deep run in the SEC Tournament.
  3. Restricting NIL will immediately be challenged in court.
  4. Collective bargaining can be a be careful what you wish for moment for players, especially the elite ones. For the most part collective bargaining helps the greater good but will in all likelihood negatively affect the elite players.
  5. Im not against a bill that reigns schools in. I am however against all schools are equal. Texas brings in significantly more than Baylor for example. It should be tiered. The other issue I have is limiting actual NIL because some players are highly valued and will push this cap way over. You can not restrict a player on how much they can earn. By this way of thinking it would be a detriment to other players on the team. For example Arch, Simmons, Cam, Wingo, and Goosby will probably equal 70% or more. Where would that leave guys like Biles, D Will, Mosely etc.
  6. Has anyone heard how Lovisa has developed after redshirting? We need an update on her. Who is the women hoop reporter?
  7. The closer CFB gets to Triple A baseball the less interested I will be in watching. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/49441655/stanford-football-players-join-push-collective-bargaining
  8. One encouraging statement from Dellenger, “ Many of the SEC/Big Ten’s proposed changes in Title II - expansion and pooling rights - are in a “good place.” Also, he has stated a few times that this bill needs the full support of the sec and B1G in order to pass. So much for cantwell’s arrogance in dismissing and outright targeting the two conferences who are college football.
  9. Totally agree with you! Not a federal issue, nor a federal problem. I hope it doesn’t pass.
  10. Randy Levine is one of the worst people to have involved in literally anything that you want to be successful. He’s played a critical role in turning the Yankees from powerhouse to bloated and underperforming.
  11. Today
  12. Exactly. That's really the whole point. National rules don't accomplish much if nobody has the authority to enforce them and the penalties don't stick. Give college sports one set of rules and real enforcement behind them. That's where Congress can actually help. It's when they start trying to manage conference expansion, TV rights and the entire economics of the sport that they lose me.
  13. Unfortunately this whole “Save” act is ALL political. And anytime a politician says they are going to fix something. It turns into bat guano very quickly. The Yankees CEO and Cody just happen to be big donors and buddies of guess who. Enough said. Their interests are not good for the universities involved for athletics or academics. Run like the wind from this bunch.
  14. Our Government needs to stay out of college sports.
  15. Restricting NIL sounds like something the courts will strike down. I am not sure any cap, if total and includes restrictive NIL, can withstand the courts if there is not some kind of collective bargaining agreement on the part of the players.
  16. Texas will definitely still be one of the HAVES! Austin is POWERFUL resource UT!
  17. They can put in rules but if no enforcement, solves nothing.
  18. If you live in her state, don't vote for his co-sponsor.
  19. Those are the Nike Free Trainer 5.0 V6 amp. 723939-800. Never worn. $110 MSRP. They're from 2015 - have just been sitting in my collection since then. Texas does custom colorways w/ logos for the big schools with their amp shoes - so there are Ohio State, Oregon, etc versions floating around out there, too. These are Charlie Strong era - maybe you've blocked it out of your mind 🙂 I'd do like $50 + ship if you're interested on those.
  20. Trying to put together as many AH as they can.
  21. Have to go back to 2023? We gave up 31 (wash), 24 (Houston) and 34 (OU). All games with a better offense we win. I’m not a PK lover but his unit largely performed - his late game defense was frustrating but not as much as Sark’s zero point halves.
