Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 1 hour ago Moderators Posted 1 hour ago I want to see the kind of staff he’d put together, but there are worse candidates Penn State could hire besides Brian Daboll. He got the Saban endorsement, so he has that going for him, which is nice. 1 Quote
SueVide Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago Sark isn't leaving Texas for Alabama. He has two children enrolled currently. His daughter just stated law school at UT and I've read his third child may be the next Texas enrollee. Plus, he has a seven month old. You think his wife wants to leave Austin for Tuscaloosa. You don't know her very well then. 1 Quote

I had Daboll on the back of my mind as an offensive assistant at Texas for one year with Sark to rebuild himself and then go after another HC job at any level in 2027. I hope he lands wherever he wants because I think he’s a helluva coach. Quote

Plus they are a potential playoff team now in the SEC championship game with a known quantity at QB for next year or two. Would be shocked if he left. skc I wouldn't 7 Quote
Moderators Jeff Howe Posted 50 minutes ago Moderators Posted 50 minutes ago The Alabama job is going to be a no-win situation for a while. Gene Stallings actually won a national title between Bear Bryant and Saban and it seems like a footnote in that program’s history. You‘d have to leave Alabama as the greatest coach in college football history to live up to expectations. 3 Quote
TexasOnTop Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago Sark isn't leaving Texas and I doubt Deboer leaves this cycle (despite how poorly I think the fit is with him at Bama). If Auburn hadn't fumbled the Iron Bowl away I think Deboer would be on the next flight out of Tuscaloosa to Penn State. Quote

You are either committed or not... so the Ole Miss logic. How about no? 😂 Do you have a great Sark replacement up your sleeve? Options seem a bit scarce to me Quote
whereiend Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago Daboer is the only name I've heard for Penn State that is an upgrade over James Franklin. Quote

If you're not winning multiple championships, they'll call for blood. Those fans won't even be happy just to competitive for the post season. Quote
Coach840 Posted 18 minutes ago Posted 18 minutes ago DeBoer and family don’t seem happy in Alabama, I wouldn’t be surprised if he left Quote
