I have alluded to this over the past week or so, but I am monitoring a decision for DeAndre Moore.

Based off of sourcing over the last month, the conversation surrounding Moore has settled on a departure, though the destination remains uncertain. The intel has flipped back and forth between an entrance to the portal and that of the NFL Draft. Right now, I lean Draft.

Regardless, I am not expecting Moore back on the roster in 2026.

Moore, a junior, started 11 games for Texas this season.

not a surprise, really.  he's been a good contributor, and i think he would be in line to expect a better 2026.  he has been sandwiched between whittington and a QB/OL transition.

Don't get why he'd portal away? Thought he had a decent year

Getting paid a lot of money. Good player but probably asked to take a pay cut

He thinks he’s worth more than his production and skill set indicate.

I'll try to get into more on this after a decision is made. I won't fault Moore for whatever happens.

Moore was a model Longhorn and teammate.

He handled himself with class even if he fought to get more money for himself along the way.
I’ll be rooting for him no matter where he ends up… other than OU, A&M, or Georgia 😒

We as fans don't know what's going on.
Like CJ said he's always been an outstanding character, so I won't stop treating him as such just because of how NIL has shaped this sport.
In my opinion he should go get drafted.
I don't see a huge rise in his potential next year... maybe he could get more production for scouts to see, but do you really want to be in the same draft as Jeremiah Smith, Cam Coleman and some of those guys?

Extremely hard worker that was the first at practice.  Great role model and team player.

I really hope he goes pro.  I don't want to see him in another college uni.

Highly doubt he gets drafted, does not have elite traits or production. Also can't imagine any decent team would bring him in with the expectation of being the #1. Some of the production piece was not entirely his fault. Happy that he's leaving, as I am confident that Texas can easily replace his production at a lower price.

Didn’t his entire family move to Austin with him and open a food truck? If so, I would definitely lean more to a pro decision rather than a portal one.
