Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 3 hours ago Moderators Posted 3 hours ago I have alluded to this over the past week or so, but I am monitoring a decision for DeAndre Moore. Based off of sourcing over the last month, the conversation surrounding Moore has settled on a departure, though the destination remains uncertain. The intel has flipped back and forth between an entrance to the portal and that of the NFL Draft. Right now, I lean Draft. Regardless, I am not expecting Moore back on the roster in 2026. Moore, a junior, started 11 games for Texas this season. 32 3 Quote
mcwast Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago not a surprise, really. he's been a good contributor, and i think he would be in line to expect a better 2026. he has been sandwiched between whittington and a QB/OL transition. 1 Quote
TexasFanatic Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Scared of Cam Coleman coming in 🙂 Best of luck in the NfL! Great longhorn Edited 2 hours ago by TexasFanatic 2 Quote
charlie990 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Don't get why he'd portal away? Thought he had a decent year 1 Quote

antcan95 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Solid player. Probably a WR2-WR3 on a championship roster 1 Quote
MBHORNSFAN Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Good luck to him. Opens up $$ and spot for someone else.. 1 Quote

Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 2 hours ago Author Moderators Posted 2 hours ago I'll try to get into more on this after a decision is made. I won't fault Moore for whatever happens. Moore was a model Longhorn and teammate. 31 1 Quote
Atticus Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago He handled himself with class even if he fought to get more money for himself along the way. I’ll be rooting for him no matter where he ends up… other than OU, A&M, or Georgia 😒 2 Quote

Like CJ said he's always been an outstanding character, so I won't stop treating him as such just because of how NIL has shaped this sport. In my opinion he should go get drafted. I don't see a huge rise in his potential next year... maybe he could get more production for scouts to see, but do you really want to be in the same draft as Jeremiah Smith, Cam Coleman and some of those guys? 5 Quote

Brho Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Seems like a fantastic kid and teammate. Hope he gets a huge bag and finds the right fit. 2 Quote
Jimmy Two Times Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Highly doubt he gets drafted, does not have elite traits or production. Also can't imagine any decent team would bring him in with the expectation of being the #1. Some of the production piece was not entirely his fault. Happy that he's leaving, as I am confident that Texas can easily replace his production at a lower price. 1 2 Quote

If so, I would definitely lean more to a pro decision rather than a portal one. 2 Quote
hookem1014 Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago (edited) Another culture guy potentially gone. Hate to see it but probably best for both parties. He’s also one of the few experienced receivers on the team. Gonna need to get a baller in the portal to upgrade the room. Edited 51 minutes ago by hookem1014 1 1 Quote
Sundancekid Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago Are the coaches encouraging him to mobe on? I would love to see him return… just not punts. 1 Quote
