Really like that Kobe Black is back, I think it’s great depth in the secondary. Compete for starting CB but hope he is open to playing some safety if/when needed. I think he can be very valuable and a versatile piece, especially if a freshman CB steps up late in the year like Phillips did this year.

Biles is a different type of LB than the other 2. I think he is a better blitzed than both but not a great btw the tackles. I think he and Smith have some similarities in dropping back, great in passing lanes. I think Biles is very good , and can be better in 3-4 if kept clean by the big NT, btw the A and B gaps. 
I do think in a 15-16 game season we need someone like Cryer inside in run situations. Both Cal and Wisc LBs are more thumpers, more similar to each other. All 3 have their benefits. 
I hope we get the Cal guy, very very good and different from Biles. 
I do hope we take a 240+ lb guy from D2/Fcs ILB just for specific situations, depth. 
 

defense will likely play/hopefully play > 1100 snaps in 2026-2027(you know what I mean!) 🤘🏽
