They don't talk about why teams are playing zone or man or different Defense schemes, right.

They don't talk about scripps to start the game. What is working on Offense, why are they play hurry up to start 2nd half or what are they wanting to slow the game down and limit series.

If they have interviews with Coaches and players pre-game. What did they say, what questions did they ask and what did they sense from the answers?

They are controlled by the networks I get it. But cut loose a bit what is going on behind the scenes?

Get rid of commercials and let the fame run like it should. Advertise like they do in soccer. Around the field and at halftime. Also, option for radio broadcast of your team for like they’ve done in the playoffs. Would much prefer Craig Way calling my games in real time on the tv than anyone else. I don’t mind Greg McElroy as an analyst either.

Don’t think it’s that realistic but capping commercial breaks at 2 minutes would be awesome. It’s debilitating when you’re at the game and they pause for a TV timeout and you see the guy walk out with a timer that says 4:30.

Every rules analyst or expert would be out of job.

“Oh geez guys that’s a close one. I think the refs got it right.”

it gets old

“He got one foot in — which in college ball, you only need one foot.”

Maybe not a direct broadcast issue, but for replays could we please go directly to a ref in a booth with multiple monitors rather than wait for a ref about my age to waddle 50 yards across the field to review the replay on a 10 inch screen?

I'm so glad the National Championship game vs USC was done by Keith Jackson and it seemed appropriate that it was the last of an era of CFB. Broadcast wasn't High Definition, the longtime announcing crew and the ABC / ESPN format was tried and true. Each time I go back and watch it, I'm reminded of what a great era it was for CFB on television.

For a comparison, you can go back and watch a replay of the "Big Shootout" game in Fayetteville in December 1969. The video broadcast on ABC with Chris Schenkel and the former OU coach Bud Wilkinson was absolutely leisurely compared to the modern era CFB broadcasts.

I'm old enough to remember when only one CFB game was broadcast on TV each Saturday and teams were limited in how often each could appear on television in a season.

Completely unnecessary for the ref to go anywhere.  You are correct.

Also, the sappy stories on college gameday. Like I’m starting a fun Saturday why do we need to hear about someone’s horrifying story?

I kinda lost it when Lawson Luckie was saying he was settling staying home with little ol’ UGA to be near his family lol.

Don't watch game day live, start watching it 35 minutes in. Fast forward through commercials and fluff pieces that don't interest you.
