Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 1 hour ago Moderators Posted 1 hour ago The Kalshi odds on Brendan Sorsby declaring for the 2026 NFL Supplemental Draft have taken a wicked turn following the hearings this morning. At 10:00 am this morning, the odds sat north of 83% to enter the Supplemental Draft. As of posting (1:15 pm), those odds sit at 13%. 1 1 Quote

harveycmd Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It means people who put money into Kalshi don't understand the federal court system. 1 Quote

TTown Posted 43 minutes ago Posted 43 minutes ago Because the Tech Board On3 Staff has been sending out what's been happening in the case, quotes from both sides in real time. Probably believe Kessler Sorsby 's attorney made better points. It is in a recess now. Who knows , but from reading both sides won't be surprised if they get an injunction. Hope like hell they don't . They did ask for a decision before June 15. There may be more after the recess. Quote
tmataya Posted 40 minutes ago Posted 40 minutes ago I’d explain it to the judge like this. They proved you (the judge) took money to set people free in your own courtroom than continued to do it as you changed courts. You were caught and then asked to just keep on presiding over trials because you admitted it and went to therapy. Quote

Sorby's feelings about betting on his own team are legally irrelevant. Even if the judge tries to pull a weird one, the Fifth Circuit will shut it down. 2 Quote

As I've said before, there is no connection between this case and the previous eligibility cases, House case, and Supreme Court decision that forced NIL. Goober sports reporters who think there is don't know anything about the federal court system. No sports league or sports association in the world allows players to bet on their own games. 1 Quote

It is in Lubbock County court. Fifth Circuit court of appeals hears federal appeals and the Texas appellate courts hear Texas appeals. 1 1 Quote

Exactly, what world are we living in that this is even a discussion?! Tech’s argument (whining more like it) as I see it is: “we paid a guy a lot of money to come play QB for us and we didn’t do our due diligence and he broke the rules. It’s not fair that we paid this money and now he’s in trouble and can’t play.” Quote

harveycmd Posted 19 minutes ago Posted 19 minutes ago I previously read it was federal court, but I just looked it up and see it is a Texas state court. That could throw nutjobism into it for a while. Ultimately the result will be the same. 1 Quote
