I'm pretty sure that Lane and LSU are intentionally rebelling--it helps to foment an us-versus-them state "patriotic" fight against the big bad SEC trying to "run our lives".  I really do believe it is calculated, to the end that it stirs up the passions and frenzy of the "loyal ones" while LSU could go unbeaten and could very well play for a national championship.

They could go for undiluted, full-blown victim status--a David vs. Goliath that would galvanize SEC haters around LSU against bullying by the SEC.

It never fails to amaze me at the lengths people will go just to get their way--doesn't matter to them the chaos and destruction that's left in their wake.

I detest LSU right now for its selfishness, but that's just me...I understand where Lane is coming from, but it's an extremely parochial view...very sad.

The way I read it was this is more about potentially suspending Lane. The document I read was that Lane's halftime comments show that LSU doesn't have any "institutional control" so I think they are going to try to force LSU to punish Lane in someway or face some kind of sanctions. I could be way off but that is how I am interpreting this current circus! If the SEC doesn't do anything this time, they will look even more like complete crybaby fools after releasing another statement on the matter.

Great team based on what? Gerry has maintained that the fighting Dabo's have talent interspersed throughout their ranks to a limited degree and if that is true you might be more accurate. However, the orange tigers looked like a very poor rendition of talent while the stay in your pro hopeful lane's will be interesting to watch as they move forward.

The SEC doesn’t allow a team to have a player on their roster who:

1. Entered the NFL draft, or

2. Signed  an NFL contract, or

3. appeared on an NFL roster.

if the OU players don’t fall in the categories outlined above they might be ok.

I’m guessing the way the player’s lawyers cross examined Sankey at the preliminary injunction hearinf with lines like “How’s it feel now that the Rabbit’s got da gun!?!?” Didn’t help LSU.

Yeah I noticed that phrase, which is an NCAA thing, not a conference thing AFAIK. Very curious to include that. I can't confirm from any reliable source that LSU is on probation. The articles I saw showed a June 2026 end date from a 2023 penalty.

Seems like both players were already on the team. Aidan Anding signed with LSU Dec 2024 and enrolled in May 2025. Gabriel Reliford signed with LSU Dec 2023 and enrolled Jan 2024.

Is there a way a player can sign with a program but not be on the official roster?

Welp NC or any of the big Florida achools would be happy to make the move.  Miami or FSU both have a pretty storied past.  I know the Gators would have a fit....kinda like atm did when Texas was trying to move over.  Im pretty sure they can come to a middle ground.  Another bit of food for thought...What does Easton Royal think about the clown act??? 🤡 Dows it help Texas get over the hump.
