Yeah, but Vegas casinos are so nice for a reason.  They know things we don't.  This offseason, I said Texas must get out of September 4-0 for me to feel good about them making the CFP.  After watching the teams on Texas' SEC schedule, I think I underestimated how good Florida, the Mississippi schools and Missouri were going to be.  If the offense is catered towards its strengths (Manning's scrambling ability and the running game) they can win all these games.  If not, they will lose 3-4 games even if they beat Tennessee.  Must win game in Knoxville.

It's exactly why I feel bad about it.
It's a must win game cause if we can't win on the road and if we can't win against decent offenses we're screwed with this schedule.
I also expected the offense to name their score against UTSA but Arch was just inaccurate in a concerning and unusual way and Sark's play calling was dubious at best.
I hope all the things that went on this week and the win against OSU were the reason Arch seemed off the whole game and not really focused and that we play a complete or semi-complete game against the vols.
But I don't have a good feeling as of now and the lines for vegas just seemed very strange cause the other day we were at -4.5 so how the hell did it go up to -5.5 after *that* performance offensively

There were alot of “bad” week 2 performances outside of Texas

Sure but I think I keep Arch and Sark at a higher level of standard than some other guys.
Both have all the tools to be exceptional so a showing like that on offense is just not acceptable.
For Arch you can't throw those two TD passes like that and at the same time miss wide open guys by thowing it 5 yards over their head. It's just head scratching.
I know he's never gonna be the Mensah type of QB but the misses yesterday where uncharateristic even for Arch. It wasn't even about mechanics cause the ball was coming good off his hands it was just inaccurate.
Maybe all the off field stuff had a bigger impact on Arch that we previously thought... we'll see.

Emotionally I was ready for him to be bench. I’m always root for him to be great, but realistically speaking, I started to wonder if he gets performance anxiety once things are out of sorts. I really don’t know what to blame Sark on.

I think benching someone after leading a 4th quarter 21 point comeback where he was dang near perfect because they're playing bad against UTSA is probably the reason why you're not into coaching lol. Not there with you at all.
But he has to play better.
I don't think it's performance anxiety at all since he actually plays better when *stuff* gets real and Texas needs it... if he had performance anxiety he would've crumbled last week, he would've crumbled against michigan, he would've crumbled against a&m, he would've crumbled against mississipi state... 
I think he just gets in his head too much some time and I think the off field stuff this week didn't help.
I think he wanted to go out and be perfect last night instead of just playing football and having fun and when things didn't go perfectly he got in his head.

Missouri had 230 yards of offense versus Troy.  At Missouri.  A Troy that gave up 335 yards passing to SHSU, a team they beat by 3 at home.

MSU, UF both gave up a lot of points, committed a ton of penalties.

Ole Miss is good, but they are having to navigate a more difficult schedule than last year.  Lacy is already banged up.  They get to suit up and head to Florida next week.  Somehow they only have 4 road games again.

I am fully prepared for OU fans to start calling for Burnt Vegetables’ job after Georgia decapitates them in the 2:30 CT slot.

Following that, another L for the Aggies against LSU and it could be another fantastic weekend to be a longhorn if you’re also a grief-eater like myself

That’s the thing with anxiety though. When your back is up against the wall, then your fight or flight nature kicks in. So when Arch is not afraid to fail and trying not to make mistakes, then he goes into fight mode and his natural talents show.

No that’s not how performance anxiety works. You don’t play better when there’s more pressure for you to be perfect if you have performance anxiety.

I'll admit, I was surprised by that Missouri score. Not sure if they just coasted or what but I was almost expecting the Troy upset at one point lol. By the time we get to play them, they should have Hardy back but Roberts for them has been really nice. Will pair well with Hardy. 

Did Lacy come back in that LSU game? I remember seeing him leave and looked very gimpy but I don't recall him coming back?

I don’t believe Lacy came back.  From what I recall, he was banged up versus Louisville too.
