watty7796 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) While the Defenses get easier the offenses they play are much more dynamic. In all honesty I think that equals out with maybe 2 exceptions. If Texas does not get their act together on offense and special teams...its gonna be a long season. Edited 1 hour ago by watty7796 Quote

Steamboat Willie Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Yes, we should score more against the defenses left on the schedule, but that doesn’t mean we’ve fixed anything. OU came in allowing 23.1% on third down. After two weeks to prepare, Texas went 3-for-13. Same 23.1%. Arch’s last pick looked predetermined to me. He threw right into the blitz while a receiver appeared to be coming open across the middle. I want to see Sark and Arch figure out how to beat a good defense, not just put up bigger numbers against weaker ones. Quote
Deadhead_Horn Posted 59 minutes ago Posted 59 minutes ago I can't wait to go 9-3 and then discuss if a three-loss Texas team should be in the playoffs. 2 Quote

Hookem72 Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago I hope this is our version of Michigan beating Ohio State in 2024. Seems similar. Ryan Day wanted to call the game his way and they lost 13-10. Learned his lesson and went on to win the natty. SARK NEEDS TO TAKE A LONG LOOK AT THE PROBLEMS INCLUDING HIMSELF. Hook Em! Time to chomp the gators and get payback! Quote

Only a little worried bc we couldn’t do much against a mid UTSA defense, Texas has to stop beating Texas first 1 Quote

Sorry CJ, the way our offense is performing the opponent simply needs their defensive players to fog a mirror to be effective against us. Our offense can be counted on to throw in plenty of penalities, turnovers, miscues, drops, bone-headed mistakes, and overall dysfunction to assist the opponents’ defenses. And our (un)special teams will not be left out of the party and insist on its share of gaffes to aid the opponent. We fans have much to be concerned about. 1 Quote
Thorn007 Posted 34 minutes ago Posted 34 minutes ago arch is great at home. need to win next 3. all at home to have a chance at playoff. then at mizzou at lsu atm. lose one of those. arkansas gimme in austin. iffin our kicker makes it at end arch would be awesome and great. special teams lost that game. monkey banks Quote
OTFBrandon Posted 30 minutes ago Posted 30 minutes ago The offense individually isn’t the issue. It’s the decision making, and discipline that’s killing this team. The offense doesn’t need a magic pill to be what they need to be, they need to find consistency in what works for them! Not what Sark thinks will work, but what works for that unit! The special teams on the other hand has a way to go, but honestly inconsistent offense leads to bad situational decisions for the special teams to make and play. If the offense had just plays three good quarters of football, it takes all the pressure off of the special teams to somehow give us a chance to stay in the game. A blocked punt and punt return don’t happen when your offense doesn’t put you in situations for it to happen. Sure punting and kicking haven’t been great, but pressure to be the reason you win games shouldn’t come down on their shoulders unless absolutely necessary. Quote
