Welcome to OTF -- Class No. 1

Supporters, moderators, administrators, etc

These newbies should be giving the title of "Interns" so we can remember them.

And while you're at it, mine should be titled "genius"  😀

They've also already created some mock-ups for a new look of the homepage.

I think it'll be a drastic improvement yet keep the same functionality and ease of use.

Wait, there is a homepage here? Where? 🙂

I'd suggest staying out of the game theads. Nasty place that is.

Hey Interns! Welcome to the dark side lol

Welcome to the OTF family! Great place to be 🤘

Hey everyone I’m Payton, one of the interns, i’m an Advertising and Business student at UT and am excited to be helping OTF. My favorite memories watching UT Football as a student has to be being first row for our win at Alabama in 2023, and our 20 point comeback against Ohio State this year.

I’ll echo what a few others have said, I think it is great that you are giving back of your time, effort, experience and knowledge to those starting out in your profession! Kudos to you Bobby and the other OTF staff.

I look forward to the intern’s discussion and articles

What’s up everyone, my name is Gavin and I’m a sophomore Journalism major. My favorite memory here at UT so far is definitely beating A&M last year at home, easily the best game I’ve ever been to! I’m super excited to be apart of this community and to learn more about the industry. If anyone wants to talk ball or teach me some football history from before my time, let me know!🤘🤘🤘

I know y’all’s generation uses chatGPT to do everything, but you better learn the difference between apart and a part! 😂😂

I'd like to welcome our first-ever class of OTF Interns to the OTF community.

They are:

- Hayden Carner

- Jordan Gorewitz

- Kumar Kharod

- Carson McCay

- Chris Mickelson

- Gavin Resendez

- Payton Sherman

- Justin Teall

One of my goals in opening up our OTF office on West Campus was to create a space where students could learn the digital publishing business from the ground up while following something I know many of them love -- Texas Football. The idea is to give them real-world experience and have them help make OTF a better product and a better community for all of you.

We had our kickoff meeting with the Interns last Monday and they are already contributing in a bunch of ways, from video footage of last night's softball game, to graphic support of the YouTube show, to marketing ideas, to a few message board posts, and more.

This university gave a lot to me as an undergrad. It helped me give my family a good life. My goal is to help some of these guys in a similar fashion.

Please join me in welcoming them to the community!

Interns, if you're reading this, drop a quick reply with your major and your favorite memory so far as a Longhorn.

Hook'Em!

Good luck to all the interns! Wish this was around with OTF when I was in school a couple decades ago!

To celebrate after the first meeting, I offered them all a Garage Beer and Flight from Yuengling.

Then I remembered they might not be 21 years old yet!

Haha, oh no!!! Don’t want to get flagged for attention to detail…we’ve seen enough of that on the field lol.

Welcome all! Come jump in the game thread Saturday ... at your own risk
