OU fires offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle

[Roy Hinojosa]

We better be on the phone with top OC candidates before OU gets a good one.

Jason Witten will take over offensive play calling for the Sooners

Going to be pissed if OU hires Chip Kelly.

You think they will try and poach our OC?

[Deep in the heart]

That's how you make decisive decisions. Sark needs to do the same with Flood. Not mid season but after our last game on the way to the locker room.

Second time we lost to a team that made a major firing before the season was over. Depressing.

There will be a new OC when there is a new HC. I have always said, that if the powers that be need to tell Sarkisian to hire a new OC, then you should just go ahead and fire him and start over.Though I do hope that the new guy would like the defensive staff and keep them mostly in place, if not the entire crew. They are really good at what they are doing, except Nansen. We could upgrade there.

No joke. The whole "throw the records out" in a rivalry may have some merit, but to lose that game was inexcusable.

That was my first thought. Hopefully he's smart enough to see a sinking ship and stay off of it.

aren't the linebackers playing really well this year? we've had some good ones as of late as well--ford, hill, etc.

They gave up 550 yards.  Could have won with a a good defensive effort.

You can't fire the DC without firing the Head Coach. Sound familiar?

Why? They can have him. Since he left Oregon, what had he really done?

Well, he currently has Northwestern putting up better offensive numbers than Texas in just about every category, so there's that. If OU somehow pulls off landing Chip Kelly, they're going to be a MAJOR problem. Also, since leaving Oregon, he was the offensive play-caller at Ohio State when they won it all in 2024.
