Popular Post jonbailey Posted January 11 Popular Post Posted January 11 I was giving blood when I first saw Quinn's commitment. I couldn't believe it, both of the only 1.0 ranked recruits in history were both gonna be longhorns! When he decomitted i was bummed, and I knew it was thankfully the end of the Herman era. I watched his tape and while Texas fans trashed the kid because he went to OSU I knew he was special. MM did well in the elite 11 but it was clear 3 was a massive talent. When he portaled i was so happy and thought he would be a savior year 1. Things aren't that easy but overall Quinn has been awesome. Not without flaws but awesome! Quinn brought this program back! Texas fell short but its been a hell of a run. Hook'em! 52 2 Quote
TXFF Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Agree completely. Unfortunately, some fans expect perfection, but that's impossible in football. He carried the team more often than not and should be commended and appreciated for an outstanding career while helping Sark rebuild. In addition, Ewers is an outstanding individual and a fine representative of the University. I wish him well in the NFL. 19 Quote
RoninLonghorn99 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Hated how it ended but I thank Quinn Ewers for taking the Horns out of the dark ages and back into the Spotlight. Hookem 3 9 Quote
Toriel Pearl Posted January 11 Posted January 11 He walked so Arch can run. I will always appreciate what he did for this program. 8 Quote
Austalgia Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Thankful for Quinn. Lifetime longhorn. I’ve had my criticism, but way more good than bad, and some shake your head great. Some shake your head the other way, but hey, we are all human. He sacrificed a lot for the university. Which him well. 8 Quote
HornsUp Tom Posted January 11 Posted January 11 So thankful for 3. Said it before the game win or lose I remember where we were, and where we could only hope to be before him. Today was where we wanted to be, not the outcome we wanted to thanks to 3 (not only him) were almost there. 5 Quote

I'm a nobody, Quinns a multi millionaire but I think we all have to slow down and pray for Quinn..if he ever reads this I hope he knows his fourth and thirteen brought hope, inspiration and authenticity to a program that was in need of it. I'll always love Quinn and I wish he didn't have an expiration date because I do think he's a national championship caliber QB. He will see will Howard hoist a trophy or Riley Leonard when Quinn is better than both. Quinn has a great peace within himself that will allow his talent to flourish in high velocity situations..I'm always gonna ride with 3. Thank you, Quinn. 12 Quote
AusMOJO Posted January 11 Posted January 11 People make things up like he's the most hated QB, lol. People can't differentiate between criticism and hate. Very few people hate Ewers. I believe most people are critical of his play, at times. But regardless of all that hoopla, he has QB'd the return of Texas Football, there is no denying that. He played his ass off for Texas and you can't ask for anything more than that. I hope he goes to the pro's and kills it there. He has the talent, but I think 3 straight injuries has really hampered him a lot, imo. 5 Quote

Drunk randoke Posted January 11 Posted January 11 He played his ass off for my school. I love Quinn 9 Quote
RX_Angler Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Nothing but love for #3. When we all look back from the multiple national championships we will start stringing together, we will see that Quinn kickstarted that movement. God Bless Quinn. 8 Quote
alrightalrightalright Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Thank you, QE3! You played your tail off for this university and you're a Longhorn Legend in my book. Hook Em 6 Quote
archmanningGOAT Posted January 11 Posted January 11 AI Sark wasn't so pleased with Quinn's performance last night. Says he should have put Arch in during the goal line series in the 4th Quarter: https://app.clonos.io/view/128657 FYI it's a parody but I had a good laugh. Quote
Stevekap Posted January 11 Posted January 11 (edited) A lot more good times than bad with 3 as QB. Brought Texas back Edited January 11 by Stevekap 3 Quote
GoHorns1 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Texas is back because of #3. Thank you Quinn Ewers. 5 Quote
Nuufaola Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Nobody who matters hates Quinn. the coaches and team loved him. Rando fans who didn’t go To UT, trolls. 7 Quote
TexasMDcoach Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Quinn will go down as one of our best QB's in Texas history. 5 Quote
cmk4pres Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Without him we aren't where we are. 3rd best QB in modern Texas history and some fans treat him like sh!t. It's sad. Thanks for coming back to Texas QE. 3 Quote

Although presumably during the game, everyone who makes a mistake gets cursed out. More focused on when folks are not in the moment. Anyway, hard not to love the guy. He grew up so much at UT and has turned into such a professional. 2 Quote
Caver60 Posted January 11 Posted January 11 Really hope that there isn't enough disappointment in our fan base to make another Simms situation. That Chris hasn't really been back to the 40 speaks volumes and is one of the travesties of my time watching Texas football. Quinn can be frustrating to watch, no doubt. Even Sark gets pissed at his choices during games. Sark can be frustrating to watch at times, too. When Quinn Ewers is operating in rhythm and making quicker reads, he is special to watch. He can freaking sling it. He is a helluva competitor. I'm excited about the next chapter, too. But wow, Quinn did more than his share to bring Texas back. Lifetime Longhorn. No matter how old you are, this dude was a top 10 all-time QB at the University of by God Texas. That's saying something. 1 Quote
Dolphorn Posted January 11 Posted January 11 QE done good - fun ride - he handled himself with class. QE’s lofty recruiting ratings caused some very high and unreasonable expectations (like Simms). If he was a 3-Star from a small town (like Colt) he would’ve received a lot more love from the fans. Good luck to QE going forward. Quote
