Thanks for the kind words!

The truth is that I, like many, have just followed you around from site to site (despite that fact that you apparently hate my politics).

I am hopeful that you will be able to keep this current job so we can all just stay here.  Try to be more of a team player and quit rocking the boat, and I bet they will let you stay.

I have faith in you.

I think it’s because these forums carry an inherent sense of community for a lot of folks on them (heck, I feel it myself). In a very real sense, the different forums try to cultivate it in some sense too (the happy hours, tailgates, or live watches on YouTube).

I think that sense of community is awesome as a diehard Longhorn fan. It’s unfortunate that it gets “tribal” though and people feel the need to knock one site or another (often in an emotional, rather than rational, manner).

At the end of the day, my Longhorn fandom is more enjoyable getting to listen to dudes like Bobby, Gerry, CJ, Rod, or whoever else can enlighten me about football in general, how our program is doing, and player insights/evals.

Other sites got good dudes doing it too. We all Longhorns, so it’s all good 🤘🏼

Agreed!

Does anyone remember in the early days of the internet there was a site called "Hornsfans"?   They started off great and threw awesome tailgates, the owner / moderator would not tolerate criticism of the program and banned people for trivial things.  Eventually people found other places to post

So Nahlin is going to have to deal with Ketchum 🤣🤣🤣

I get along fine with Ketch.  Nahlin, I think, has me on IGNORE.  He NEVER answers any question that I ask him.

I'd like to see those two throwing cow patties at each other.

I have been on all boards and Bobby was the reason I joined every single one of them. I am not really into site wars and generally like the different sites for different reasons. That said, I have kept all but OB, I cannot be a part of anything Ketch is a part of. I respect some of his business decisions and he obviously built something special for a time being but he ruined that and made the experience over there unbearable. So if he is involved, then I am out of whatever that is.

so rivals is supposed to focus on high school recruiting, while On3 focuses on CFB..

Wonder how that works out with OB.. Anwar is their lone guy who has a lot of sources with the actual team.. I'm guessing nothing really changes

At one time I was on OTF, IT, and OB at the same time. While I enjoyed the content on IT, I did not enjoy their YouTube content and it seemed redundant. I have been with OB since 2004. Their YouTube content is nearly unwatchable, though they do have some good content on the website. The biggest problem with the OB site is not the writers or even some of the weird threads that always pop up. It is mainly the posters who can be complete and utter asses. For example, a poster asks a serious question and a dozen or more others will respond with childish stupid responses because they think they are funny. OTF is the best in the business, especially their video content. We are all lucky to have Bobby, Gerry, and the entire team on OTF.

OTF is the best in class. Proven by the remarkable growth they have enjoyed.

I don't know all the history here except way back in the 1990s I was a subscriber to "Robert Heard's Inside Texas."

During the Longhorns' post-Mack Brown "Decade of Doom" I stopped following all the sites because it was just too painful. I kept my season tickets just so I could go to the OU game every year.

I kept up with Bobby's work years ago and picked up OTF when he started. He's put together an outstanding crew and the OTF philosophy is what most Texas fans are looking for... good information and light hearted entertainment. Well, as light hearted as can be considering how devoted we are to the Longhorns.

The OTF personalities are an excellent mix and I wouldn't change a thing. I do miss Ian but I appreciate the absence of snarky commenters on OTF.

Hook 'Em!

Good thing about Orangebloods is they don't have twenty-something idiots trying to tell you how great they are because they don't know anything about the history of sports. Bad thing is everyone but Anwar is hard to take anyway.

I would love for Bobby to get OTF on the On3 network since IT doesn't work well with others anyway.

I hope @Bobby Burton and OTF remain independent longterm while Rivals, On3 and 247 continue down their path of consolidation, becoming more corporate, all about the bottom line, no soul or true love for the game.

Appreciate all that @Bobby Burton @Gerry Hamilton @Jeff Howe @CJ Vogel @Rod Babers do daily to make the OTF community #1 for Texas Longhorn Fans!!

Hook em!! 🧡🐂🤘🏼

OB = Surlyhorns 🤣😂

Just being completely honest here. OTF is my primary source for all information that I get. Secondarily, I have subs to both IT and OB. They may have more writers and content, but the quality of content just isn't the same as OTF. Glad I am here and don't plan on leaving ever.

Also, I don't recommend letting your kids listen to OB podcast.  You never know when Ketch will throw out a "F BOMB."
