drag worm Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago A little over a month ago and this question still applies. The second half of the season is at stake. Are we going to just let the wheels completely fall off before breaking the glass on even a Co-QB system like Urban did with Leak and Tebow? They won a natty doing that. Staying the course without any changes whatsoever is looking like it’s putting the player ahead of the team to these eyes. Quote

Unless we really think Caldwell is capable of an SECCG / CFP run, if Arch is out you're basically building for 2026. At the very least, Caldwell gives a fresh look to the defense and may get throw them off a bit. If even just to give Arch a break from getting pummeled play after play. Particularly if it is causing UTEP Arch tendencies to come back. All hands on deck. 1 Quote

You want a QB change cause that's easiest way that the offense would be fixed, in your mind. Arch needs to play better, but he's not reason we suck on offense. The sooner a lot of people come to that realization, the sooner we can look at the real problems for this team. Sark is way too arrogant in everything he's doing right now. The OL is hot garbage. We have zero game breakers at RB, zero. We always had one with Sark. Running the ball is paramout to his offensive schemes. Receivers are both too inexperienced and not talented enough. TEs are the worst they've been in the last few years. They aren't exceptional blockers and they certainly aren't athletic enough to make up for it. Sark still doesn't have a clue about what the offense does well: we have talented ENOUGH players that is just unthinkable to me that there isn't things we can't do well. Sark needed to figure it out months ago. We're complacent and we ride the emotional roller coaster every week. The guys are inexperienced and it really shows. We make stupid mistakes, after stupid mistakes, after undisciplined mistakes. I can go on. Arch gets 70 yard more in the air by hitting the easy stuff THAT HE SHOULD'VE HIT and it still really doesn't change the outlook of the game 1 Quote

With a month more perspective I totally agree w you. Caldwell has been a calm, steady and productive presence every time they’ve brought him in this year. 1 Quote

Or go two-QB system to make it harder to prepare for Arch which is getting very easy for coordinators right now. Arch has been on campus for three seasons now. The play is inexcusable and the lack of fire and leadership on th sidelines and the field as the starting QB is even worse. 1 Quote
MBHORNSFAN Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Probably not much can be done now. The off season should be interesting. I see a huge influx of portal players on offense and some on the team leaving. A complete overhaul. Lets see what staff gets the boot. Edited 2 hours ago by MBHORNSFAN 1 Quote

For sure staff changes, either addition (like defense) or replacement. College football is a big $$ industry now, and changes happen a lot quicker than when I had hair. 1 Quote
