Arch Manning's passing chart.

3-3 passing on throws over 20-yards. Love seeing that.

I think we saw a spray chart after the Florida game - bad percentage completion to the left side.  Zero throws beyond the line of scrimmage to the left side against OU.  Interesting.

This is a fantastic play from Arch.

But I also want to highlight the chip block from TE Jack Endries on Jayden Jackson on the edge. Goosby is able to very easily subdue his pass rush as a result and Manning is able to take the corner and find a man running across the field.

That’s a tough, tough throw right there.

knocked him to his knees, nice find @CJ Vogel.

Texas was 10-17 on third downs against Oklahoma, who was the No. 1 3rd down defense in the country coming into the game Saturday.

Oklahoma had previously allowed just 12 3rd down conversions on 59 attempts. Huge day for the Texas offense.

After the first three third down attempts, where Texas was 0-3 and averaged  21.7 yards to go for a conversion, the Longhorns then averaged 6.5 yards to go on their next 14 third downs. Huge improvement.

Oklahoma stats aided by a soft schedule/bad opponents or texas starting to gel offensively? Because two things can’t be true in this case IMO.

Texas is tied for 24th in the country with 16.0 sacks and that is with 0.0 sacks combined against Florida and Ohio State...

I still can’t figure out why our game plan was what it was vs Florida

Most of Texas’ sacks in the 4th quarter were rushing 4.  One time they sacked him rushing 4 on 6.

Mateer is lucky he only threw 3 picks, and is careless with the ball.  Manny’s 1st INT required him to slide, but if it hadn’t that would have been 6 the other way - there was nobody there to tackle him.  Jelani McDonald almost had a pick 6 as we know.  Littleton nearly had his 2nd INT in the 4th quarter u til the WR turned DB.  Mateer blindly heaved a couple more into the field of play when pressured that were prime.  Chris Fowler was even talking about it.

OU called several designed QB runs early and wasn’t concerned at all about Mateer’s health.

Hard to throw against your body when pressured, much easier to throw in front of you or to the right.
If you do throw against your body while being hit/ pressured it is much easier to be more inaccurate because of your mechanics having to be much more clean if you have to put more juice on the ball.
Even all the short throws we had were there to minimize the impact of what is probably the best DL in the country.
Just a great gameplan by sark.

Also when talking about throws to the left I think he had a really great throw to Mosley that was broken up because of a good play by the DB.

I think this was 3rd and 5, because I remember thinking Arch chose the difficult throw over running for what was likely an easy first down.

It also shows on tape if the defender come early to prevent him for running, he will make them pay with chunk plays. Arch is on his way.

Yea that one was a great throw but a bad decision to be honest. He easily had the first down with his legs and probably gets even more than the pass ended up getting. And that was an extremely difficult and dangerous pass across his body to the middle of the field!

OMG if I could watch every game from the “all 22” perspective I would never finish a game because I’d rewatch every play minimum of 11 times.  😂

Watching 11 guys perform as 1 unit is why football is the ultimate team sport.

I like how Arch is the furthest downfield behind #5.  love these insightful posts looking at different aspects of the play that most of us may have missed.
