OTFBrandon Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Well injuries aren’t fun as we could tell in that fourth quarter, but I can’t believe that the talent the secondary has could give up that much yards on Vandys final two drives without having prevent being called the whole time. I understand it’s a no brainer to play prevent when the other team is in desperation mode, but in my opinion if i’m PK at some point you have to call something else that isn’t going to give up 15-20 yards every throw down the seam. So in my opinion i’m not too worried about this secondary going forward. These next two weeks will be much needed resting time for this team. On to Athens we go with a much healthier team God willing. Hook’Em and happy Saturday fellas! 1 Quote
hookem1014 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Aside from the end of the first half the defense was called beautifully. Why go away from what’s been working all game? 2 Quote

Sundancekid Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Jelani and Michael are very good safeties. Their backups will be… eventually. 4 Quote

Definitely underwhelming this year. Not sure if it’s a “fire this person” type of fix though like some want to do as usual. Quote

There were TWO holdings in the end zone on that play, but go off Quote
Jordan91 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Those are four and five star players out there. They can’t leave a player wide open and watch him run down the field. It doesn’t excuse 4 and forever either. Quote
AusMOJO Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Was that actually prevent or cover 3? We tend to mix the two up lol. Prevent would be playing 20-30 yards off everywhere. But from what I'm watching, they had some busts which need to be addressed. Quote
TTown Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago This Akina Orphey experiment will end when the season is over. Akina out to pasture and Orphey back to a mid P4. Akina a zone guy 🤣LMAO he stealing $ for retirement now. 1 1 Quote
alrightalrightalright Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago A lot of ugly for Sark on Monday in his Good, Bad, and Ugly coaching segment. Quote

Filsame was not mentally in the stadium, and Williams is clearly not back physically. Hiring a man specialist to run our back end probably contributes to our abysmal feel for zone coverage, drops and spacing as well. Quote
Danimal Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Not having an AA safety, another starting safety getting injured, and your DEs getting held all game will cause problems for any secondary. 4 Quote

Not sure PK had much input into who is hired, that's more Sark. But I could be wrong. Filsaime is injured himself, Williams hasn't played a ton since his injury. Plus both your starting guys were out. Believe it or not, that does hurt you. But they do need to do better with coverage. Some of the busts were complete head scratches. Quote
TTown Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Akina is not a zone guy c' mon man. Bad hire because of late departures. Probably influenced by Nansen. Time to move on , but we are stuck until the season is over sadly . Looks like early PK years where front and back are not in sync. Need Taafe back bad for Georgia and beyond. Quote
uthorn1374 Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago We need to get McDonald to return and get a safety in the portal. We also need a corner with MM going pro. Really like that MSST corner Lee. 2 Quote
