  1. Texas corners coach Mark Orphey stopped by IMG Academy this morning and ended up offering 2029 CB Carlos Lopez on the trip. I was told the visit from Orphey out to IMG was a surprise to Lopez, despite the young talented cornerback having visited Austin for the Texas spring game on April 18th. Lopez is now up to 15 offers, with USC, Oregon, UCLA, Texas A&M and Miami being the most notable. Really talented ballplayer out at IMG currently.
  2. Post Spring Heat Check: Do I think you can win the SEC? Alabama – if everything goes perfectly Arkansas – strong no Auburn – no Florida – not a 100% no Georgia – definitely yes Kentucky – no LSU – yes Missouri – no Miss State – no Oklahoma – i lean yes Ole Miss – i think so South Carolina – not buying in again, no. Tennessee – no Texas – yes Texas A&M – only if QB takes a jump Vanderbilt – nope.
  3. That's great news. She will give more effort than just about anyone in the league.

  5. It's also expected that Jeff Banks makes the 3-hour trip to Libertyville, IL to see TE Brock Williams as well.
  6. Longhorns Extend Offer to 2027 LB Sean Fox **** Jeff Banks is in the midwest this morning and made a stop through Warren Central High on the east side of Indianapolis where he extended an offer to 2027 LB Sean Fox. The 6-foot-5-inch, 225-pound linebacker has been on a tear this spring, earning offers from Notre Dame, Arizona State, Tennessee, Miami and Georgia. Fox is currently ranked as a composite top-300 prospect in the 27 class, following a junior season where he recorded five sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss. Official visits have yet to be scheduled for Fox.

  9. Texas makes the cut for Sierra Canyon (Calif.) DL Marcus Fakatou. Fakatou spoke recently with @Hank South after visiting for the Texas spring game where he mentioned the Longhorns were in the top three for his recruitment. Texas is right in the thick of things for the 6-foot-7-inch, 275-pound defenive lineman.
  10. More than anything it's important for a group of key contributors to win that game who hasn't beaten a Georgia or Ohio State before. Most of the Alabama team is gone. They need to know what it's like to beat a team of this level – Vandy, OU, A&M aren't on the level that I am talking about despite being good wins.
  11. I thought this was an interesting comment. I don't know just how accurate it is in regards to 20-25 teams, but if that's the case, we are going to see some incredibly competitive tournaments moving forward.
  12. Notre Dame appears to be the darling for everyone this offseason. I want to see what Carr can do without the luxury of two 1st round running backs by his side.
  13. Looks about right, especially the top three. We will see what type of threat UH can be this year.
  14. Just keep stacking series wins. Nothing wrong with that, not in this conference.
  15. Going to be interesting to see what happens here. I don’t suspect we will see Sorsby at all in 2026.
