    Felt like this wasn’t being talked about enough. Washington’s starting QB agreed to a deal to return in 2026. 4 days later he enters the portal with a do not contact tag. Seems very obvious he was pushed into the portal by another school. There’s so much wrong with college athletics today I don’t know where to start.

    I wouldn’t say tech is “all in.” Yes they’ve signed multiple players but aside from Sorsby none of them are top 10 in the portal at their position. All except Sorsby are three star portal prospects with 3/8 coming from P4 schools. They also lost 16 players to the portal.

    I turned on tweet notifications for their Twitter page. They tweet immediately once somebody commits.

    Rod B!! I’ve learned so much about the game itself from listening to your insight on the livestreams. That’s what I love about OTF…you have the insiders with the team news and guys like yourself, Coach Shipley and more with game analysis. Best in the biz all around. Won’t find that anywhere else!

    He had an ankle injury lingering from Stanford right? Hopefully not something that becomes reoccurring. He’s does all the right things on the field when healthy.

    If I remember correctly there was chatter mid CFP last year of teams trying to poach Simmons and Muhammad away. I’ll just say…I completely understand why many coaches have no interest in coaching college anymore.

    We still have quite of bit of retention to do but I’m hoping the attrition helps free up space for multiple big hitters in the portal

    I think people need to take a deep breath about the WR situation. Yes, Texas should take a WR. Does it have to be a Cam Coleman caliber player? No. Yall forget Matthew Golden was barely a top 10 WR in the portal and was still elite. It’s an expensive position and Sark knows what he needs every time he picks one up

    WR wasn’t the root issue in any of those three games (although we did have multiple drops vs Georgia). I’d argue the money Coleman would demand put towards OL gets you the Ohio State and Florida game. We failed to convert at the goal line vs OSU and Floridas D line destroyed us

    Which one of our 3 losses do you think solely adding Coleman would help us win? We had opportunities vs Ohio State but Arch couldn’t hit receivers, Florida we got mauled in the trenches and burned on defense, Georgia was a blowout.

    Auburn mods are speculating that Eric Singleton could portal again. Wonder if we’ll take another shot at him? Would be cheaper than Coleman and bring a speedy WR to the roster

    Well we had lost the majority of our OL production and brought 0 players out of the portal. Reps at OL is also probably more important at any position other than QB. At WR we’re only losing Moore so far. I do think Texas still needs to get a productive WR but it’s probably #4 on the list of priorities.

    We lost our top 3 RBs, lost multiple starters on defense, and lack a serviceable IOL…but people want us to immediately blow the bank on a WR when all the starters except Moore are returning💀

    It’s called a budget for a reason. We have players that need to be retained as well.
