  2. Magic had 42, 15 and 7 as rookie in game 6 of the 1980 NBA Finals. I'd say that's pretty versatile for "pass first" point guard. I don't understand what these idiots are talking about.
  3. Jason "White Chocolate" Williams doesn't mean much to me. If I'm not mistaken, he never did much against the best. Who do you think was the best PG ever, Gerry?
  4. Never smoked in my life. Are you an Aggy?
  5. WWII doesn't matter. Cold War doesn't matter. The foundation of Western Civilization in fifth century ancient Greece doesn't matter. Ball chasing changes everything.
  6. After all, forty years changes everything in the history of the world.
  7. I'm talking 40 years ago. Does 40 years change physics?
  8. Did you forget that titles are the ultimate arbiter?
  9. Look at titles. Luka hugs. It's like I'm the judge talking to Toadvine in Blood Meridian.
  10. Florida had the best frontcourt in the country. A one off by UConn doesn't change history.
  11. If I'm not mistaken, Magic had four titles by the time he was as old as Luka is now. Is that a relic of point guard play?
  12. No more than the trenches are relic in football.
  13. Kobe better than Bird. I don't know what this means. We talking 5 to 3. My point is that Miller told Gerry you can win with a "combo" point guard. You can't unless you have the best frontcourt. Even that won't matter if the other team has great backcourt players. My example is the mid 80s Celtics had the best frontcourt ever, but they couldn't beat the best point guard ever in Magic. Not to mention that Kobe as a shooting guard was more important than the most athletically gifted player ever as Shaq. Jerry West told Shaq that Kobe was already better than him when Kobe was 17 in July 1996.
  14. Yes, I am. Miller told Gerry you don't need a good point guard to win. He referenced Florida last year. Clayton was a good point guard. He had the best front court as well. I don't understand what he's talking about.
  15. It's really crazy that Miller said that crap. If you have Parrish, McHale and Bird in the frontcourt, you can win. But you can't beat a great PG like Magic if he has two frontcourt guys. Texas never gonna have Parrish, McHale and Bird in the frontcourt. That's really the dumbest thing I've ever heard from a college basketball coach. You don't need a PG to win? Is he smoking dope?
  16. If you don't have the best post, or the best SG guard ever like Mikey or Kobe, you can't win without a real PG. I don't understand what Miller is talking about. He lost me. I'm not coming back until the chump wins a title.
  17. I can't believe that a former PG said that crap. We've got no shot with that stuff.
  18. I really can't believe Miller's answer to Gerry's question about point guards. I have no faith we'll ever win anything with a goober like that as head coach.
  19. If Miller thinks it doesn't matter if a PG is a pass first player, it won't matter. It's like we got Bucky as a coach.
  20. If the Lakers would've had 2001 Kobe in the 1991 NBA Finals, they would have killed the Bulls. The reason: Magic and Kobe's defense.
  21. You could take Magic, Kobe, Worthy, Kareem and whomever you want and beat any combination of five other players in the history of the world. There's three reasons for that. The key is Magic couldn't be stopped at point. Kobe defending any perimeter you can think of and beating any player you want one on one. Kareem the best post player ever. None of this is combo crap. Magic running point. Kobe was a shooting guard who could defend any one else who was also skilled enough to score on any other wing in the history of the world. Kareem was the best post player ever. But Magic as a true point is literally the linchpin. I don't wanna hear no combo crap.
  22. I like Miller, but I didn't like his answer to Gerry's question about point guard play. Magic is universally recognized as the greatest PG ever. He wasn't traditional in the sense that was literally the biggest point guard to ever play, but he ran the team like a QB and didn't worry about shooting first. You can't be a PG and think you need to score before anyone else. Magic could score as well as anyone, but he didn't try to do it first. I hope Miller gets a true PG and doesn't fall into the BS of combo nonsense.
