  1. @Gerry Hamilton I still wish you'd ask Raja Bell what Kobe and Iverson said to each other during this trash talk scene of game two of the 2001 NBA Finals.
  2. Gerry's right. This is pure BS. Don't pay if you don't want.
  3. Reminds me of real free speech. Remember driving through Denver 28 June 2000 at 7:00 AM and listening to Slim Shady and Country Grammar back to back on the radio on the the way to honeymoon in Pinedale, Wyoming. It was dirty version both ways on the radio. Wife liked Eminem. I liked Nelly more.
  4. Can't resist. Kobe and Duncan stats when they met each other in the playoffs 6 different times in just a 10 season span. Kobe is the only player that has a winning playoff record vs Duncan.
  5. Duncan and Robinson guarding the rim don't mean nothing to me. I'm better than them.
  6. I remember watching an interview of Kobe talking about playing the Spurs before game one of the 2001 WCF. Kobe said he was going to kill them. That's what he did. 45 and 10 at age 22.
  7. Did MJ or Kobe ever shy away from meeting a rival head on? Both of those guys made excuses to make things personal. That's why they have eleven combined titles.
  8. Schloss didn't acknowledge the hate because he was afraid of the "mental" aspect of it. That was obviously a mistake. You must meet challenges head on.
  9. I've never been to a party. Since when did easy matter at Texas?
  10. World has nothing to do with baseball. Schloss didn't have these boys ready to play. No getting around it. Don't want to hear more about "mental game" until there's a title.
  11. For you Mavs fans, Cuban spearheaded NBA rule changes to stop Kobe and Shaq and benefit slow boy, unathletic Dirk. What a guy! The NBA now sucks. Thanks Cuban.
  12. The NCAA literally made dunking against the rules because of Kareem. They said it was for "player safety." These guys today have no idea.
  13. I wish Gerry had gone into coaching like his dad. He would have a great basketball coach,
  14. Gerry damn sure knows basketball. This is a point of emphasis deal.
  15. Certain great players in NBA history have been able to score on command more often than not, but that's not teams. By the way, LeBron and Steph aren't among those players who consistently beat their man to win games. That's why they aren't really among the greatest, pencil goober numbers aside.
  16. Exactly, There's time to do it, but we haven't seen it yet.
  17. We're talking semantics at one level, but ultimately we're not. Bottom line is that it's not scoring "on command" that wins titles, it's defending "on command" that wins titles. It's great if you can score on command, but college teams can't. Even NBA teams can't score on command in the playoffs when the chumps finally decide to man up.
  18. What happened when they needed throw strikes but couldn't? You can say they didn't "execute," but you can't compete without executing under pressure.
  19. Gerry, the sticking point is "on command." Do they score more than 80 some of the time? Of course, but they don't score more than 80 every time, especially not against the best competition later in the tournament. Coaches would always like to score as much as possible. That would be "on command."
  20. Title game was called differently than all the other games. That's always the case. Point is, plenty of teams succeeded in the tournament without scoring big. Latest "trends" indicate you need size and defense more than scoring. There's no denying that. That being the case, we need a 4 that can rebound and muscle more than space and shoot. If you can shoot 1-3, that will provide more than enough space.
  21. Maybe we'll catch a break and the game will be canceled today.
  22. The most disappointing thig is that the team just hasn't been ready to compete. First game was close, but literally couldn't throw a strike when needed. Game two was a joke all around. This is not a good sign for the postseason.
