  1. I don't think we'll know much about the top of the Big 10 until the playoff. Ohio State, Penn ST and Oregon only have one or two tough games. That means all three are getting in unless they lose key players or simply melt down. Big 12 and ACC are guesswork. SEC will likely beat each other up. Could mean the SEC will be more battle tested in the playoff; could mean they'll be battered and bruised. Obviously there's plenty of time for a team or two to figure it out.
  2. Leavitt is 4 for 12 with 7 yards in the first half against Miss ST!
  3. LSU struggling with La Tech, confirming the weak Clemson win. Florida can be dangerous; however, if they lose to LSU and Miami (both on the road), they'll come into the Texas game 1-3 with everyone calling for Napier to be fired.
  4. Another TD for Miss ST. Leavitt getting buried. Love it.
  5. Been a good day so far. Georgia looked like crap. Florida lost in embarrassing fashion. Aggy D still bad. Gerry boy Leavitt being humbled by a terrible Miss ST team. Clemson is crap, meaning LSU win wasn't all it was cracked up to be. Mateer just threw a pick.

  7. Must say I like hearing the niners have problems. Are they caught in cap trouble? Doesn't seem like Shanahan would just be missing.
  8. Why will the criminal sooner o-line get eaten alive by Michigan?
  9. That's Kirby building relationships with the city of brotherly shove.
  10. Commie Mike is what you would call a click bate troll. Flips back and forth more than a two dollar floozie.
  11. Criminal sooners are in the same boat. It's not a coincidence that as soon as everyone could pay legally, they took a steep hit. Now all you hear from them is finding value in the bargain shopping market. Clearly, schools with marginal resources that previously succeeded by cheating aren't going to keep up with legitimate big money programs.
  12. No kidding. I guess if we don't blowout SJSU by 60 we're going to hear this and the "creativity" mantra until our ears are ringing. Rather have "creative" comments than play calls that are more likely to fail than work.
  13. I'm sure some are thinking red zone calls weren't "creative" enough. First red zone opportunity was fine. Arch actually made a good throw to Livingstone. It was good coverage and you can't really blame Livingstone for not making the catch. Don't like the way the goal line QB sneak unfolded. Not necessarily a bad call, but when they got to line of scrimmage and saw how OSU was stacked for the sneak. I would say there should have been a timeout or audible option. These were both individual plays that aren't indicative of systemic problems. If it keeps happening this season, then you can get worried.
  14. Must admit I don't understand the criticism. Given that the offense (primarily Arch) had trouble executing basic pass plays that were clearly schemed well enough to work, what exactly should Sark have done to "adjust"? Sark adjusted by running more, which was successful, and eventually working Arch into connecting on some shots. It's not the end of the world. Arch will play much better.
  15. I doubt it. Not unless they can come up with about $200 mil.
  16. It said early Wednesday morning. Guessing that's like 1 am.
  17. Sad to hear. Thought he would be playing over the next few games with a chance to work. Maybe he still will, but hard to say.
  18. Arch should have taken my advice and talked a lot of smack before and during the game to juice himself. Just watched the interview again where Kobe was talking about the first time he played against MJ when was 18. Guy asked him what it was like to hear MJ talking with so much respect for him after the game. "It was nice, but he didn't tell me anything I didn't already know."
  19. Arch was playing in his first big road start matching wits with an NFL DC that he had no good way to gameplan for. OSU has some of the best defensive personnel in the country. Arch flat out missed throws. JJ flat out dropped passes. There's not really a qualitative difference.
  20. To be clear, Arch is an amateur working his way to the pros. Did Arch miss wide open TDs? What about JJ's inability to create separation and consistently provide a good target? I mean, he couldn't beat a true freshman playing his first game. Convincing the demos doesn't count for much. This is empirical evidence.
  21. Bad throws are bad throws, but the drops were unforced errors too. For JJ, that was three out of ten. For Arch is was seven out of thirty.
  22. One thing we're not hearing is that JJ's three drops were just as bad or worse than Arch's seven bad throws. That's two bad games in a row against Texas. Doesn't seem like the best player in CFB stuff. Certainly not the same level of scrutiny.
  23. This is true, but it doesn't make them true title contenders. In fact, closer to a paper tiger. If strength of schedule really is an important component of playoff selection and seeding, it's hard to see how the alter boys land a top eight seed even if they win out.
  24. Bama fans do like Sark, but it's not financially doable. Can't see him wanting to go either. They could get Gruden, but it would be risky and really expensive.
