In today`s SEC, not a great choice for top coach, imo.

Bama can match anything Penn State could offer.  Plus they are a potential playoff team now in the SEC championship game with a known quantity at QB for next year or two.

Would be shocked if he left.

deboer is a hell of a coach.  he's in a tough spot with next to zero margin for error, following the goat, but he's really good.

i'm not sure why he'd leave bama for happy valley, unless he is simply not happy coaching under saban's shadow.

Fwiw, I had heard some chatter that Lincoln Riley wants out of USC, and if that were to have happened, DeBoer would be looking to head back west.

I don't think that theory is entirely dead. Someone just has to bite on Riley, which we will see about that.

Deboer just does not seem like a culture fit for Bama.    It appears he wants out.

Unless Tech came open for whatever reason, I can’t see Riley making a move that would be unanimously considered a step down.

That he hasn’t been happy at SC isn’t a secret, that much I know.
