Carlton and Vic just didn't mesh well for whatever reason. Crump returned from injury only to ride the pine. Her body language spoke volumes.  That is some serious talent leaving.

I also wonder about the “no heart” comment.  Said it at the time on here but that comment also rubbed me the wrong way.  “Heart” was so far down the list of reasons they lost that game.  Was a really, really bad defensive gameplan and then to blame it on the players was odd.

I think it was right at halftime against UCLA and Carlton was open and didn't get the ball. She was arguing with Coach on the way to the locker room. I feel like she never got the flowers she needed nor the playing time. He felt obligated to play the transfer seniors. Judd was never able to do much. Sidberry essentially a defensive player. That likely didn't sit well with Carlton. All these kids have been told how great they are since middle school, add the dimension of fame and money,  whoa! Not easy. Sign of the times for sure.

I think he regretted that. I heard he apologized to the team on numerous occasions,  but parents weren't happy about it. Rori kept the team together after that incident. Whenever that is brought up by the media, you can tell he hates talking about it. He underestimated how deep those words hurt a bunch of the girls. Amazingly,  we had a great run until UCLA. Maybe it flamed their fire to prove him wrong. There is a lot of emotion in this game, coaches makes mistakes.  Look at Geno's attack on Coach Staley.

We’re losing so much with Rori. Our new point guard should be pulling this team together. It’s one of her many jobs as the floor general. Instead, all I hear is portal. SMH. Opposite of leadership.

Not even PG, where is the leadership in the locker room?

I venture to guess some are thinking they should get better NIL deals, Booker has received the majority of the press (and talented as she is, there are others on the team as well).  I wonder if there’s a bit of envy kind of like in a rock band where the lead singer gets all the love and the other band members feel jilted. Or how the QB in football gets all the glory.

With  Carlton it was between her and Vic. On social she said Vic quit on me. Texas is not my home. Was deleted later , but it's out there FWIW.

As it turns out, they too can earn more money! Play harder, score more, rebound better, dive for loose balls. Maddie deserves all of her flowers. These players should concentrate on their ineffectiveness, not someone else’s.

I hope they can convince Lee to stay. The others hurt but Lee is a pillar of our team. She's on the verge of being a superstar as well. Everyone else is more replaceable than she is. 

It would have been interesting to see if winning a championship would have mended some of this ill will. We'll never know.

Carlton is a big loss. She wasn't afraid to mix it up down low.

Carlton is referring to the UCLA game. Coach is stubborn. He should have played her more. Imagine how she felt watching Booker implode?! And yet she was on the bench after scoring six tough points. Vic has his favorites. She wasn't one of them.

I've mentioned this before and got my butt reamed out by some of you so-called fans. There can be so much negativity on this board and the players I'm sure read and tell of the comments about themselves. Was told they need to toughen up and loose their ego but that's what talented athletes are made of. No one wants to hear negative comments about themselves. Think about it, your thoughts could have a little something to do with their hitting the transfer portal. Lighten I up and appreciate what you have at The University. You should appreciate the efforts they put out and realize you aren't a model of perfection you seem to think. Off my soapbox. Bombs away!
