Moderators Jeff Howe Posted Monday at 05:22 PM Moderators Posted Monday at 05:22 PM I'd have Texas ahead of Miami for sure, probably Notre Dame and probably Oregon. I think anywhere from No. 3-No. 6 is a fair ranking for the Longhorns. 8 1 Quote

Anywhere in the top 5 is reasonable, but some teams ahead of us have more question marks IMO. Josh Pate has us at 2 behind ND. 3 Quote
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted Monday at 05:43 PM Moderators Posted Monday at 05:43 PM Notre Dame appears to be the darling for everyone this offseason. I want to see what Carr can do without the luxury of two 1st round running backs by his side. 7 Quote
Burnt Orange Horn Posted Monday at 06:14 PM Posted Monday at 06:14 PM Seems like Klatt is developing late concussion protocol symptoms. 3 Quote

ClubWhatever Posted Monday at 06:33 PM Posted Monday at 06:33 PM Indiana has Josh Hoover at QB. Josh Hoover. 1 Quote
Austalgia Posted Monday at 06:34 PM Posted Monday at 06:34 PM (edited) I like Joel Klatt. He is usually pretty fair, and not a natural Texas hater. However, it seems like all the way too earlys are going by postseason rankings last year. And formulating a plan from there. I feel like that thinking has to be revamped in this new age of the transfer portal . Pundits are going ti have to actually do their homework, because these teams are totally different from last years post season. Start over, yes see who is and isn’t coming back, but see who has experienced starts coming in from the portal to counter the losses and complement the talent leftover. Hoover is not a bad QB by any means and Indiana had a solid portal class overall. They won’t be as good as last year but how much can you knock the defending champs? Quote

Kevin C Posted Monday at 07:35 PM Posted Monday at 07:35 PM Texas was #1 in most pre-season rankings last season and Mamning was lock for Heisman. 🤪 Much prefer #7 over #1 in all these preseason rankings to start 2026. Let’s show it on field in game 2!! Everything prior to that just noise. Hook em! 🧡🐂🤘🏼 1 Quote
Sanka Decaf Posted Monday at 08:19 PM Posted Monday at 08:19 PM Will the pollsters have the guts to move teams ahead of ND when those teams beat ranked opponents, or will the pollsters just keep ND where it is because they look the part walloping the inferior opponents that dot their schedule? There are easily 4-5 teams that could have a great record with much better wins . . . but there's only room for 1 ahead of ND based on this early take. Quote
