Hannah Wells caught on a hot mike at the very beginning of the post game press conference, "Ohh... I hate this sh-t."

I follow Longhorn softball pretty closely, and like Hannah Wells – and I like her tough minded approach. She has played well – although perhaps did not have as big an impact as she'd hoped, coming in as the Gatorade Player of the Year. She's also not getting the national attention at the end of the season she probably wanted (or expected). She's been left off some All-Freshman lists. So, some frustration is understandable. And of course I don't know the full context of her frustration... but I'm surprised at the attitude she displayed while sitting down in front of the press – and I imagine she'll get a earful from the communication folks in the athletic department.

I think it was just an honest hot‑mic moment from a freshman who’s been under a lot of pressure. Wells has played well all year, even if the national awards didn’t break her way, and emotions run high at this point in the season.

Once the actual press conference started, she handled herself fine. This feels more like a quick slip than any kind of attitude problem. I’m sure the media staff will remind her about mics being live, but I don’t see it as anything bigger than that
