Texas wins and those 3 announcers only talk about Jordy.

and rightfully correct. Jordy pitched a no hitter through five innings and hit a HR for only run in the game.

Texas has been an afterthought throughout the broadcasts. Annoying.

WE need to just get it. Most of them do not like us. I call the SEC Network the SECHT Network.

I didn’t feel a particular bias or anti-Texas vibe watching the game. Clearly, they were hyping Jordy and rightfully so with a lead off HR and no no going into the 6th. Announcers always ride the momentum waves. ESPN/ABC are very much Texas supporters. Too much of their revenue tied to the Horns. I’ll bet they hype the Horns pre-game against Tenn and then react to the storyline.

Bull sh*t. Jordy pitched a fantastic game, hit a HR and deserved the praise during the broadcast.  Stop posting like damn a Aggie. ESPN  is big supporter of Texas athletics.

Texas wins, and the booth still behaves like they’re legally obligated to narrate Jordy’s life story. It’s almost impressive how completely they ignored the team actually advancing - like they were calling a memorial service instead of a softball game.

And Mowens… that voice isn’t ‘energetic,’ it’s industrial‑grade noise pollution. It hits the ear like a fire alarm that learned English. ESPN didn’t broadcast the game; they just blasted static over it

Mowens had a loud irritating voice.

Fwiw, my late Mother couldn't stand to listen to Beth Mowins. Mom was 92 when she died in 2021 and was Old School of the WWII generation. She would complain about "women announcers" and if Mowins was on the call of any Longhorns sporting event, Mom turned the audio off.

My parents met in the late 1940s because my Dad was playing Double A minor league baseball and Mom was an avid amateur softball player. I always knew they were a bit disappointed that my baseball skills were limited but I gave it a go all the way through American Legion level after high school.

I suppose the "women announcers" thing may be partly generational because I have always thought Beth is a good play by play person behind the microphone.

Your post about Beth's voice was a nice reminder of how my mother would have agreed with you! Thanks and Hook 'Em!

RIP Mom and Dad... both loved the Longhorns.
