Rumor is Samantha Swan got into Texas Law and is interested in taking over catching for a year. 18 HR player. I like stevie south but maybe she can take a developmental role for a year? We’ll see.

also heard the Texas state pitcher is looking to jump to a bigger program in state.

I don’t know if the law school information is true but if so, that’s impressive. Coach Zaleski started following her on X last week.

I really like Azua, but I know many programs want her, including A&M. Coach Earleywine started following her on X last week, while Coach White and Patty Ruth already followed her.

Both would be excellent additions.

No, I am concerned about keeping our current roster, but Bobby addressed that. Portal additions are great, but retention is key. Other boards are daydreaming about stealing Kavan, Stewart and Henry. I’d hate to lose any of the current team because of money.

In today’s NIL era and after the WBB season, I can be concerned. 🙄

Back to Back Champs this team was built not bought it's a difference no need to worry about our main girls they aren't going anywhere

You’re right. These players are special and love Texas. I’m just scarred from WBB portal season. 😂

Pretty cruel statement. Curb your tongue

There should be a virtual reality coaching game. Maybe linked to Prize Picks. So here's all the info you need to build your roster from the current recruits. Where are the weaknesses? Where do you look in the portal? Go.

We have 25 players as of today. Here is the expanded combined Texas Longhorns softball roster for the 2027 season: returning veterans (non-graduating players from the 2026 team) + the 2025 additions (now sophomores with 2026 freshman performance metrics) + eligible 2026 portal transfers (now juniors) + the 2026 high school recruits (incoming freshmen with national recruiting rankings, awards, and accomplishments).

I’ve been hearing for several years that Texas Softball has very little NIL and doesn’t spend compared to other schools. I thought that would change after last year but it didn’t and Texas lost out on several players in the portal because of money. Texas wanted Desire Spearman, Taylor Pannell (pitcher), Dakota Kennedy, Jazzy Burns, and Tallen Edwards and didn’t get a single one because they were outbid.

I don’t understand this. It’s infuriating. It also concerns me that other schools will try to poach Texas players and offer them more money.

Tech spends. A&M spends. Oklahoma spends. Texas should be spending.

But yet, Texas is Back 2 Back 🏆 Champs 🤘🤘

I wouldn't be because it seems like these girls genuinely love being at Texas. They also know that they have a real shot at a three-peat.

This is awesome. Thanks for posting.

I am not sure about Bordi. She was suddenly removed from the online roster in April and she removed “Texas Softball” from her IG bio. There are some rumors on Softball forums that she is no longer on the team.

That's a pretty stacked roster on paper.  Even potentially without Bordi, I'm thinking White will try one of the star inf recruits in RF.  There's going to be a battle for 2nd base.  Unless you're replacing outgoing portals, I'm thinking you're looking for a stud pitcher if there's one but not settle, and potentially an outfielder.  Infield is pretty much solid and possibly even crowded.

This is awesome. Thanks for posting.

I am not sure about Bordi. She was suddenly removed from the online roster in April and she removed “Texas Softball” from her IG bio. There are some rumors on Softball forums that she is no longer on the team.

She still has UT on her X account.

Yep, this is curious. She's not on the official roster and looks like was not eligible for the spring. No recent social media posts so you have to assume she's not in the plan for 2027.

Drea Wilson and MaTaia Lawson were injured. (Wilson played for Kevin Shelton at Texas Glory. That team put kids at OU, Tech, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss, A&M, and Stanford. Incoming freshman Doty was also on that team.)

Interesting that Mike White just said yesterday that "nobody's leaving Texas because they like what we're doing."

Looks like we're stacked with young talent. Open spots at LF, RF, 2B, C. Probably Wells and Doty backing up Kavan. Maybe look in the portal for any P with WCWS experience if any pop up.

FYI - Mike White said yesterday that they have a recruit visiting on Monday. I assume it’s a portal prospect. He would not say which position.

Has to be Swan please be Swan lol
