FootLaw Posted yesterday at 02:43 AM Posted yesterday at 02:43 AM I don't think Tech understands what they just did by supporting the injunction. They've turned every other athletic department against them. Good luck scheduling games. They've likely accelerated the departure of the SEC and Big 10 from the NCAA. Wouldn't surprise me if the ACC tried to join them. Once that happens, the CFP won't run through the NCAA and the Big 12 will be excluded. I'm sure the other Big 12 members love that thought. Kiss that TV money goodbye. 4 Quote

This is super odd. I am not shocked that the court issued the injunction due to irreparable harm which was always a possibility whether you agree with it or not, but then the court appears to be "standing in" for the NCAA and rules on how the punishment should be assessed. This is quite different from saying the NCAA doesn't have the authority to do something (like regulating paying players because it violates other laws). 1 Quote

.45s Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I was on Twitter earlier and most posts were about the TT fiasco. Hard to find other material. A few people had skewed views and seemed to think that everyone was piling on Sorsby himself. I don't think that is true and I think most people think Sorsby needs help but still should be punished and they think that what Tech administrators, coaches, and boosters have done, along with the judge, is beyond the pale. .45s Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Saw this on Twitter/X. Assume it is true regarding the Judge, but not sure. Tarrant County is also where Campbell lives. "The judge's son in law is a Tech alum. His daughter lives in Lubbock. Also, he worked in Tarrant County, Texas… which is 30 mins away from Cedar Hill high school, where Tech’s coach Joey McGuire won 3 state championships and was a coaching legend." Quote

Huskie1 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago It will be interesting to see if all the AD's, Presidents, coaches, etc. follow through on all the posturing that has gone on since the decision came down. Color me jaded, but in the social media world we now live in, everyone wants to throw out their statements, but little actually happens in reality. I would LOVE to see teams not schedule Tech and boycott them in all sports but that takes administrators with some guts and I am skeptical. It will be interesting to see this play out, but in the era of no rules, I feel it's going to be a lot of smoke and no fire. Quote
