I mostly just see his stuff on Twitter and imo he changes his tune constantly for clicks (he’s definitely not the only one, that’s the business). At one point he said something along the lines of “sorry Sark for questioning why you stuck with Quinn over Arch” and “forget arch, Bruce underwood is the one.” I’m not trying to say Arch didn’t struggle last year. He certainly did at times. Nor am I saying he’s wrong about last year’s OL. And I understand that I’m approaching this as a biased fan. However, folks who purport to be analytical purists but sensationalize moments for clicks lack credibility for me. 1 Quote

If you watch his video's, he usually goes into depth about the topic and you usually come out going "oh yeah, he made a good point". Even if you don't agree with him or like him. 1 Quote

Especially late in the season. If Cole Hutson is the best option we have at LG, God help us. Texas Failed Arch Manning Last Year Yeah Cole looked like 💩 last year. Arch was amazing and I'm sure this whole revolving door at LG thing doesn't bode well for a QB's confidence. Even Goosby was blowing assignments. I've always supported Flood... but last year was unacceptable. This may be his last shot. We cannot go thru what we went thru last year, period. 4 Quote

The “Texas failed Arch” take is peak August desperation from a dude who needs clicks like oxygen. Arch was a true freshman who needed weight, timing, and Sark’s install --- not tossed into garbage‑time clown snaps so some YouTube film bro could pause clips and pretend he’s uncovering state secrets. This is the same guy who watches three plays, declares himself a QB guru, and somehow still manages to misunderstand all three. Texas didn’t fail Arch. Texas protected him. The film guy needed clicks, a headline, and maybe a helmet so he stops injuring himself with his own analysis. Texas absolutely failed Arch in 2025. Sark called plays like he still had a good offensive line and legit playmakers at the skill positions à la 2024 instead of tailoring his calls to complement his roster. 2 Quote

Saying Sark ‘failed Arch’ is like blaming the chef because the grocery store was out of ingredients. 2025 wasn’t a play‑calling crisis -- it was a personnel shortage. Arch didn’t get failed; he got introduced to reality. 2 Quote

He can’t play and even if he’s just for depth, he’s bad depth. If you need to play your depth, play a player who can learn and get better, not someone who’s topped out as a bad player. You might be able to get someone show you how to strap on pads and then show Hutson how the game is played. What a great example of being an ass. Quote
watty7796 Posted Monday at 03:41 AM Posted Monday at 03:41 AM I believe EVERYONE including myself had much higher aspirations for last season. The reality is our Oline was not good, but that was far from the only issue. Penalties on both sides of the ball plus ST. Not causing turnovers or allowing first downs in crucial spots. Dropped balls by the wrs. More MEs than you can shake s stick at. The bottom line is the first half of the season was atrocious but the second half of the season showed some of the potential. Point is it was not just a Flood issue. It was a HC issue...it was a PK issue...It was a Banks issue...It was a leadership issue from the players with a C on their chest...It was an across the board problem. The first half of the season Texas looked worse than a modern art masterpiece. There was a lot of growth tho and that should give us all hope for what the upcoming season could and should be. 1 Quote

PaulieD Posted Monday at 11:28 AM Posted Monday at 11:28 AM Good grief. It's over, move on. Hope that we have something good to worry about next year. Quote
jdhdavis Posted 51 minutes ago Posted 51 minutes ago Watched it last night. Great discussion points and don’t disagree with the back and forth. But this time last year we thought everything was good and Conor Stroh or others would mesh with several others. Hope for better this time out. Other observations —Brooks does a lot with a small sample size of plays. Michigan did a lot of D line positioning to confuse assignments. The Houston Texans do this also. But those wide assignments led to the clenching Arch run —Arch did a good job recognizing a bad pocket and making something happen. — Christian Clark had some great blocks on some big players. —Wr drops were certainly bad—several would be explosive plays —in slow motion, Arch made several Db’s look slower —recall we were tied at half. Trailed start of 4th. Turnovers and Arch in 4th won it but very for 3 quarters. 1 Quote
Here for the Wins Posted 3 minutes ago Posted 3 minutes ago @jdhdavis Good points. The small sample size is a limiting factor that often drowns out the overall actual play. That’s a historical flaw in player evaluation and play too. Then feelings take over. Then true evaluation is lost. ive read discussions that Sark was distracted last off season. The play calling and game the first says maybe true. That were so physical in practice now says similar. Quote
