westx Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I couldn’t find a post about this topic, so sorry if there is one already. First, I don’t want to take anything away from WMU. They are not a bad team-thus far anyway. Last year that had an impressive record and they stood toe to toe with Michigan yesterday. Michigan had 3 turnovers. I felt bad for WMU last night because the replay all of us watched, showed clearly there was no time left. This morning I see this different officials replay and it is pretty clear “1 sec” remains. Conclusions? Michigan is not very good and Underwood made several bad decisions. Remember how Pelini cried and made a spectacle in the Big 12 championship. The ball Colt threw bounced twice before reaching zero. I admit, I don’t know what Colt was thinking and do not believe to this day his statement about he knew there was plenty of time. Anyway, this incident made me remember that non-controversy controversy. Quote

Last night was the first time I had ever heard of clock syncing. I assumed it was like the “unofficial” yellow first down strip the networks use, so it isn’t something i know anything about. But, I agree, this needs to be dealt with. Quote
Red Five Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago So the clock in the stadium that is being watched by 100,000 people including everyone coaching and playing and officiating.... isn't the "real" clock? What? 1 Quote
Jerky Posted 53 minutes ago Posted 53 minutes ago I saw it live. Crazy finish. Thought WMU should have won with 0 on the clock. I read the rule this am. Makes sense. But I'm not sure I buy the clock on the replay tweet. People can manipulate a tweet to read 1 second left next to the highlight. Quote
LonghornLegends Posted 52 minutes ago Posted 52 minutes ago (edited) Yeah I still call BS. Michigan should have a loss, it is inexcusable to have clocks that are supposedly not all in sync. That is the most lame and diabolical excuse I have ever heard to make sure a big 10 team gets a win lol I absolutely hate that for WMU. Edited 51 minutes ago by LonghornLegends 2 Quote

That's the complete opposite situation, where there was clearly one second left on the clock. Here there clearly was 0:00 on the clock with the ball still in the air. Also it was 2009. Sanka Decaf Posted 8 minutes ago Posted 8 minutes ago Not only the clock issue, but on each of WMU's last two drives there were missed penalties on Michigan that would have extended those drives (including a blatant facemask no call where the helmet was turned halfway around). Arguably, there shouldn't have even been time for Michigan to try and score if the blatant penalties were called. Michigan did not deserve to win last night. WMU defense is legit (at least against whatever OL and QB Michigan has this year - have to judge after next weekend), but the WMU office was pretty ineffective for most of the game. The 13 minute (yes, 13 minutes) drive from third Q into fourth Q for WMU wore down Michigan defense pretty good. Quote
