Problem is... there was a lot more than that today. Happy to be 4-0 ... but that was a totally undisciplined football team that turned into a comedy of errors at times. This is year SIX ... year

Colin Simmons committed one of the most inexplicable penalties ever committed by a Texas player in the No. 1-ranked Longhorns’ 20-17 road win over No. 14 Tennessee on Saturday. The Volunteers did

  • This should have been another 15 yard penalty against us.  So pissed at our lack of discipline and poise.

Everyone is talking about he should have checked out of plays at the LOS. To his defense, I don’t know how much he would be able to do that in that kind of environment and as loud as it is there.  Like I said earlier, we are going to see what we saw today from defenses the rest of way or until we start burning it.  We need to work on blitz/pressure beaters.  We have alot of guys that are dangerous in space we need to find a way to get it to them. Do that enough and the run game will come back around.  They got analysis from a ton of back grounds.  Figure it out

Emotions are high on game day, especially immediately after it’s over.

Still, don’t let a few bad apples spoil the bunch. A lot to fix and a lot of questions, but at least it’s stuff that’s getting sorted out after a win. Beats the alternative, for sure.

💯

I'll take being upset over a road win against 15 Tennessee on the road than the old days of trying to explain a loss to Kansas or Iowa State. You, Rod, and Matt were truly doing the Lord’s work on the Blitz in those days. 🤘🏼

200 yards 75% completion and what he did today is AT worst a mediocre performance. That's fair.
We couldn't do anything on offense regardless of Arch today, saying that we have a brain dead QB is genuinely a dehumanizing comment and I hope you realize that and do better.

Really not that hard to be like:
"Arch needs to be more aware, those two throws beyond the LOS were really dumb. He also needs to lock on his primary reads less".
That's it. That's pretty much all you can really say.
If you saw the game today and thought that then please stop watching football you're clearly too emotional or dumb for it or probalby both.
Have a good rest of your day or night.

Problem is he was mediocre against UTSA. When you come off a “mediocre game” and have another one that’s not good. I don’t have Arch at the expectations many others have had since he was signed. I am just wanting him to be consistently serviceable.

Yeah it was stupid but it’s the only ridiculous thing he’s really done since he’s been here.

Kids are stupid, even athletic ones. Let’s hope he learns and grows. 🤘🏼

Yep. He did a bad thing. It doesn’t make him a bad person.

I think we had more penalty yards than they had total yards so that is certainly a stat.

Hate SEC refs. wish their rectums would grow together.

He don't like to be called soft. F the Atlantic. Would someone put those AH down for the count.

Sark definitely has flaws. Who knows if he can win it all. But man this is still more fun than before him.

Also. Never go full Ketch. Come on man.

He was serviceable today.
Did he make some bonehead plays? Yes.
But by definition of the word servicable, he was exactly that today.
He was serviceable and mediocre.
Different to be mediocre against UTSA at home and to be mediocre against Tennessee (probably a top 5 defense in the country) at Tennessee while having no running game.
The times Arch had any sort of running game we moved the ball at will.
More awareness, play smarter, be better against the blitz. All of that. More than fair. But I see quite a lot of over reactions.

@Jeff Howe @CJ Vogel @Gerry Hamilton

Early on, even the first offensive play we motion the rb into the backfield and the defense doesn't adjust the box numbers.

No check is made to a inside zone or run in general even though their box was outmatched

Is there no check in place for that? Does Arch not have that freedom? Worse, is he not seeing it?

(This happened multiple times throughout the game)

Yeah that was weird. Bobby, Rod, and B Rob were talking about that post game.

I’d definitely like to see Bishop more involved going forward.  Tunnel screens, quick throws.  Just get him the ball!

I’m glad dumb stuff I did when I was 21 wasn’t televised 😂

Some of the no play changes at the LOS might be partly on Sark getting the play in soon enough.  We got a delay of game and went down to zero on several more

On the opening script, there probably isn’t a check.

One thing to consider though is checking a play on the road is much more complicated than checking a play at home because of the communication. If you’ve got to change the protection or the blocking, you probably don’t have enough time on the play clock to make the change.

It’s fairly nuanced.

Lance Jackson . Needs more props. What a game. Herby gave him praise all day. Much deserved!!

Lance Jackson has been a dude since day one too. I might be wrong, but I think his position versatility is going to make NFL teams salivate in a couple of years.

It's actually a positive for any team that is really talented.

If I had said Guy V. Lewis ... that would be bad!
