Apparently, it was, by rule, an illegal kick.

Thankfully, Texas won the game and the SEC avoided a mess.

Had Tennessee won the game the NCAA would release multiple statements. The last statement would have included “ yes they broke the rules, yes Texas should be the winner, but Tennessee won.”

This is just 1 missed call in a series of MANY missed calls. They should still have to answer for the mistakes made by refs that seemed corrupt during the game.

So true! .My only gripe is probably not have Wingo out there. I like him , he had a good game. Just feel there are better hands in that situation. But that illegal kick was wicked for sure.

Thankfully it didn’t end up mattering. Before the kick I was worried seeing Wingo on the hands team….he has the worst hands on the team lol

Until gambling is banned again, this will be a common occurrence. Line was 3.5. Sankey and The SEC are corrupt clown cars. Texas should use its wide array of legal avenues to force the SEC hand.

Yes! The 5 holds on Brandon’s run before the touchdown come to mind!! We didn’t do ourselves a ton of favors with the penalties to be sure be 11 for 115 and last week’s too from an SEC crew. Seems like the SEC officials still a little bitter about the bottle throwing in 24…

SEC refs suck. Got to the point where I struggle to watch a game in SEC . OU ran illegal play against Auburn last year and got in playoffs  They don't even know the rules. Hate the crooked AH>

100%.  My memory may be a little hazy, but it has last year or year before i believe on an onsidee kick with Wingo flubbing it.  Take him out and put Lockett in for that.
