Hopefully they enroll him with a minimum load and ease him in- even if he is a good student. I was on the faculty at Tulane Medical School years ago and attended some of the university wide faculty senate meetings and got to see some of the inner workings of the athletics department budget, as well as the ongoing monitoring of the GPAs of each sport. I was surprised at the tutoring budget, but not surprised at the grades of some of the the various athletic teams. When I was a senior in college I was the teaching assistant for an anatomy and physiology class for P.E. majors (a lot of athletes), pre-nursing, etc. I ran the lab portion and administered and graded the tests. I had a number of football players in that lab, including the quarterback, and he was the only one of them that passed the lab. His final lab grade was just a little over 70. I guess that is why he was the quarterback.🤣 He did go on to play in the NFL for a few years and hung around because he was a pretty good overall athlete. Deadhead_Horn Posted January 29 Share Posted January 29 Great get. Would like 1 more DT, then an experience receiver and lineman in the Spring. This was the biggest need coming into the offseason and Sark crushed it. That defensive front, as an entire grouping, is a wagon. Couple that with a really good secondary and the defense is sitting pretty going into next year. Still concerned about the offense, I can't sugarcoat it.
