Johntay Cook needs some major help

Recommended Posts

I said this when everyone was making fun of him for another team dropping him, and sending him back in to the portal. He needs people around him that actually care about him. He needs people around him that see him, not the football player. He matters, not what he can do on a field.

If he didn’t trash the horns out the door I would have been in the “he needs help and I pray for him phase” but…. Karma

I hope he gets help but IDGAF about what happens to him

I hear you.  But I also assume he’s got some fairly significant mental health issues.  And if he doesn’t get help he’s going to end up i prison costing us all money or he’ll end up worse.  In the end he’s a human.  I’m pulling for him to get some help and turn it around.  It doesn’t look good right now.

Him doing that was a sign of what was coming. Having another team reject him was probably what sent him spiraling quicker. It’s about him as a person. People around him need to care about him. Who is he if he isn’t a football player? He is no longer wanted by football. Somebody needs to help him realize his life matters. Football should have nothing to do with it.

That was a symptom, not an outcome.

This whole labeling everybody’s bad choices as “mental health” has gotten outta hand. Not everybody who makes stupid decisions has mental health issues. He just believes he’s entitled and doesn’t have to go by the same rules everybody else in society has to go by.

CJ or Gerry,

When covering him in high school, was this type of attitude observed.  I know sometimes a person can change, but I was just curious if this was something he has been dealing with or if this is recent.  It does seem like he is spiraling out of control.
