It's definitely a head scratcher. Imagine if we would have recovered the fumble on that first play, this game is completely different. When the ball bounced right back to the receiver, I knew we were in trouble.

Getting physically whip isn’t a head scratcher

I’ve seen enough of Chad Scott. But sark doesn’t have the cajones to fire any of his staff.

I'm not there with Scott as he's only been here like 7 months, but I hear you.

I agree.   It is time for a change.  I think a lot of the issues up front are simple personnel problems.   The complacency in recruiting along the OL is what has bothered me the most.  And it’s happening again in the 2026 recruiting class.  Turntine is good, the rest seem average.

The running back room is also very average.

It’s probably already been mentioned here, but for those that haven’t gone through this entire thread here it is. Florida had three sacks coming into this game. That’s how bad this offensive line is.

They also had only converted like 1 3rd down in 38 tries

All of this means our defense played one of the worst games in history, This is unconscionable.

And with the way Michigan's OL has looked post-OU, Malakai Lee ain't flipping to Texas, so you might end up with a 3-man high school OL class for the 2026 cycle.

The Offensive lines sucks. Not sure where they go from here. Cant win SEC games with garbage line play. Cant snap the wall without a penalty either.

As bad as the o-line is… it feels like we’re missing a game breaker with elite speed in this mix too.

Hind site is 20/20… but Texas definitely targeted the wrong Florida 5 Star WR with the 💰last cycle. Ffrench can’t pick up the playbook but Dallas Wilson is balling out of control in Game 1!

I cannot think of an adjective that properly describes this performance. Offensive line play is where football success builds from, and this season I'm not seeing it. Right now, I'm not at all worried about what the playoff committee thinks.

Sark's offense sucks. People will say there were guys open and players just didn't execute. But you could make the same argument for Herman and Strong's teams. If they had executed better, they would have won more. But they didn't execute. The defense played poorly today, but that was unusual. Unfortunately, today was typical of a Sark offense against a good defense.

We have receiver open underneath but arch is blind

Or it's the "circle of trust" thing and the playbook is too complex

How embarrassing is it to go into Red River Shootout 3-2 with the criminals 5-0? We shouldn't be ranked. Last year those chumps couldn't win a game against a decent team. Now we can't.

Biggest Disappointments on Offense and What to Change Now

1. The Offensive Line: We talked about the O-Line in pre-season as if we wouldn't miss a beat from having to replace 4 out of 5 starters from a Top 5 O-Line in the country. That was extremely naive in retrospect. This O-line could end up being very good in 2026 or 2027, but this 2025 iteration is simply not good enough.

Change Needed: 1) Start Nick Brooks at LG going forward so we can at least prepare him for 2026. Stroh and Neto are already in year 4 and have had multiple chances, and they clearly do not meet the bar. 2) Start Conner Robertson or Daniel Cruz at Center. Cole Hutson is already in year 4 and he is who he is - a liability at Center and a serviceable backup at Guard.

2. The Offensive Skill PositionsWe need more playmakers on the field, and should roll the dice with more talented young players rather than older more "reliable" players.

Change Needed: 1) Stop playing Ryan Niblett (at WR, RB, or punt returner). He goes down too easily on first contact, has no wiggle/bounce, and has track speed but not football speed...enough already with his high snap counts. Replace him with Jonah Williams on PR, and give Daylon McCutcheon his snaps at WR. 2) James Simon and Jerrick Gibson need to play ahead of Christian Clark (and even take some load off of Tre Wisner). We need RBs who run violently, make one cut, and go upfield and lean on people for 3-4 yards. This is even more important because our OL doesn't maul people - so we need RBs who can do more of the mauling and give us an identity on the ground. Let's let the young bucks get more run.

French wasn't a 5* and wasn't pursued nationally like one either. That's why missing on DK Moore really sucked.

Jeff, what the hell happened to the offensive identity?

This is nothing like last year’s offense. I know personnel is different, what what are we doing. No motion, no RB involved in pass game, no intermediate game. Basically throwing deep hoping for explosives. It’s unbelievable. Sark has abandoned a proven system.

It seems as though, instead of ramping up the things that make his offense tough to stop, given the turnover, Sark has given the offense little margin for error, trying to beat teams straight up.

The offense doesn't have an identity. Other than Arch's legs, there's nothing they do well enough to lean on right now.
