The mods here have been critical of things. Come on. Hashtag was banned for personal attacks on current players and celebrating that they got injured.

I thought he got banned for celebrating Stroh being injured.  Thanks for correcting the record.

Y'all remember a few years back when Sean McVay was contemplating retiring or stepping down?

Wonder if he’s still feeling that way and Sark hires him as OC.

Just let me dream, please 😂

I feel like and Mike McDaniel are the only guys (probably Kyle Shanahan) that Sark would ever hand the reigns to and none of those guys are ever coming here to be an OC so here we are.

I’m not calling for Sark now.  But the play calling is putting the team at a disadvantage.  And he’s not going to give up play calling.  What’s the answer?

Well, it is pretty darn difficult to call the "right" plays when you can't block or do not know who to block.   At times, I am not in love with his play calling.  In Sarks defense, he never knows which offensive skill is going to show up. Our basic issues are twofold.

First, we simply cannot block any kind of line stunt!  This makes us slow and indecisive off the ball.  And ultimately inept.

Second, our passing game needs a couple of re-sets. I would be willing to bet the rent that our receivers do not run their routes in games with same speed and precision that they do in practice.   Basic football rule of thumb: When virtually every pass is behind the receiver, it is almost always the receiver's fault.  We had this same issue during Quinn's first year.  It got fixed.  AND,  "zip it in there" doesn't mean throwing a 98 mph fastball on a 10 yard route.

If Sark can’t bench a struggling QB because of his last name, that’s on him. And if he hasn’t been able to develop that same QB after three years in his system, that’s on him too. He’s supposed to be an offensive guru, but at some point, you’ve got to show it. This is Sark’s offense, Sark’s roster, and Sark’s responsibility.

And remember you are just one of hundreds of thousands if not millions of fans.

McDaniel is on the hot seat too. May have to revisit this later in the season. Could be interesting 🤔🤔

Sark’s offenses have been extremely disappointing since he got here and his half time adjustments have consistently been terrible.  I think it’s too much to be the HC at a place like Texas and the OC.   Just look at Ryan Day and how tOSU has changed (as pointed out by another poster).  Even Nick Saban had DCs!  Sark needs to look at Saban.  This offense has been all brakes and no gas.  It feels more like Quinn over came the offense more than the offense helped him compete at the highest level he could.

I like what Sark has done as a HC, but he needs to swallow his pride and hire an OC.

What?  The mods are anything but sunshine pumpers, especially Bobby.

Sark is in charge of getting all of it fixed.  I hope he does.

Anyone calling for sark right now is an idiot. I think alot more goes into being the head coach at Texas then any of us know. I think if this wasnt texas and our qb wasnt a manning, sark would of benched him. I think it would be career suicide to bench a manning especially at a place like texas

Yeah we're winning the SEC with Caldwell or Lacy... give me a break please.
Nothing's working on offense, and this is Sark's baby.
It's on Sark. Benching him would be career suicide because it's just a stupid move.
You don't change the trajectory of this year's team and you hinder you relationship with a QB that is getting hardly any help and all the blame for the offense mishaps.
Face it guys: we don't a worthy, a mithcell, a golden, a jaydon blue, a bijan robinson, a banks or any veteran player besides moore and campbell.
Sark screwed it up in the portal and we're in a rebuild year when we shouldn't have been.
This first year should for Arch should've been the year where he's got THE MOST help around him, not the least in his tenure at Texas.

Sark the HC is not coming to an end. He’s a great HC. Terrible OC. That needs to come to an end

If Sarks the HC continues to employ Sark the OC, then Sark the HC will be writing his own pink slip in 2 years.  It’s his call.

The beginning of the end of Sark.

Oh my gosh

Sark puts us in back to back semi final games that we easily could have won

He may be stubborn and he may have sold his soul for arch but he is our guy

i1 under performing season due to poor o line and abysmal qb play does not ruin us

i think he can right the ship in a year or two

The real problem is what to do with Arch?  Will more experience correct a massive lack of confidence or does Sark need to encourage him to portal and get a fresh start?  I think he should portal, he has the qb yips.  It’s ugly

My concern- Sark's offense is too much for college underclassmen, which you inevitably need some to play even with the portal.

If that's right, the big question is what offense will Sark allow an OC to run?  Something other than "his" / what he wants to major in?  Is he going to let <insert: the next Joe Brady or Will Stein, or a rental like Chip Kelly - whats ole Kingsbury up to?> run the show, from roster to scheme to script? Or is he just going to allow an eye in the sky press box play suggestor on headset?

Changing HC is a huge gamble so I'm hoping Sark solves the offensive execution woes. But to your point on 2 semifinal appearances: we didn't win, and Penix super cape mode aside,  the offense was not up to the task. The RZ and 3rd down issues are mind boggling. So I'm not sure the argument is reassuring.

As for Arch, I'm in disbelief that his floor is not "competent college QB". The yips behind this line may be a real problem - but looking at him in context of Card, Casey, and Quinn, there also seem to be some recurring themes with mechanics and panic. The paradox there:

-if Arch doesn't portal, it seems unlikely that he will be headed to the draft next year, so 1) he's gotta turn into Pavia not Allar in '27 while 2) how do we retain and develop QB2 into the '28 QB?

- if he does portal, who's your '26 QB and does he repeat the steep leaning curve?
