  1. He’s a five star.
  2. I don’t know that I fundamentally disagree with the ranking. Could be higher, could be lower. I think Longhorn fans are overestimating the room somewhat actually. It’s not Bijan/Roschon level and Brooks is likely the first RB off the board.
  3. Makes me sick to read. Poisoning and killing your pregnant significant other. How more demented can you be?
  4. We talked with former Longhorn and 13-year NFL vet Shaun Rogers about his time as a Longhorn and what he thought of the dynamic duo of Byron Murphy and T’Vondre Sweat. https://youtu.be/SueM9T9TLI8

  6. We don’t know yet. But we’ll be there to find out!
  7. Yes, there will be. And we will be there. Can't wait!
  8. Of course. My bad.
  9. I personally like 8. But anything 16 or below I'm fine with.
  10. Coach Shipley and Rod discuss Quinn and more.

  12. Guys go from A&M to Ohio State not Texas to Ohio State. 🙂
  13. The first spring practice schedule is set. The Horns take to the practice fields at 9am on Tuesday, March 19. The next day, Texas will host its annual pro day for NFL prospects. Then the Horns return to the practice field on Thursday. The Texas staff will be hosting a high school coaches clinic that day as well.

  15. I'm glad Cooper knows zero about this recruitment. 🙂
  16. With the combine over, it's all jockeying from here. Ford and Whittington and their workouts at Pro Day will matter, but otherwise the hay is in the barn for the top guys.
  17. I kept waiting... and then he delivered. 😉
  18. Of the 31 recruits currently slated to make official visits in June, here is the position breakdown: QB - 1 RB - 1 WR - 7 TE - 3 OL - 7 DL - 5 LB - 3 DB - 4 The Horns actually have more than 31 official visitors lined up, but 31 is the current public number. For example, running back Jordon Davison of Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei and receiver DK Moore of Duncanville are both expected to visit but have yet to announce their specific dates, so they are not included in the total number as yet. ** How many scholarships will Texas use this year? It depends on roster attrition, some to the NFL and some to the transfer portal. A good rule of thumb is to start with the number 20 and work your way up or down from that number based on attrition. ** The plan for DT recruiting seems pretty clear. Cast a much wider net. Texas is not only canvassing the state of Texas for the top players, including the most recent offer to Chace Sims of Richmond Randle, but the Horns have put their hook in the water across the entire country. The Horns currently have DL offers out to players from: Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Tennessee, California, Illinois, Mississippi, Pennsylvania and Maryland, as well as Texas. In other words, Steve Sarkisian is making sure that new DL coach Kenny Baker takes a vastly different approach than Bo Davis.

  20. Couple of things: 1. Any questions y’all have for him? We’ll ask if we have the time. 2. Outside of the run against A&M, what is your top Ricky moment?
  21. I’ve tried to tune out for a week for vacay. But I return to this, and Gerry immediately pulls me back in! 🙂
  22. Derrick has some interest in coaching. Not sure he wants to do the coaching nomad role though.
  23. My opinion is, pay him what he's worth and we wouldn't be having this conversation. Giving the guy $500 and a free copy of the game isn't paying him fair market value.
  24. It was academic. Their admissions denied him as a mid year at Michigan.
