  1. First of all, great topic from the OG. I’d go with: 1. Banks 2. Ewers 3. Hill 4. Muhammad 5. Blue 6. Bolden (this should surprise some since he’s first WR on the list; he’s the one who is “different” from the others and has experience) 7. Majors 8. Collins 9. Sorrell 10. C. Williams
  2. Monday: Silas Bolden starts taking punts first. Receivers start training across both first and second teams. Tuesday: First day of full pads ends with Cedric Baxter going down with a knee injury. Baxter gets MRI. Wednesday: After getting a second and even third opinion, Baxter is ruled out for the season. Kaliq Lockett commits to Texas. DJ Sanders commits to A&M.
  3. CJ & Blake need to crawl back into that hole. Astros rule! 🙂
  4. I don't know about more playing time than Wisner. We'll have to see which freshman answers the call.
  5. That sucks. You clearly have a hell of a degree. I know you'll land on your feet.
  6. Banks loves Mo Blackwell. Hope he can find a place doing that.
  7. My $.02. I think that's too many freshmen. I would give only a handful of the freshmen a better than 50-50 shot of making it to the NFL right now. Michael Kern, for example, would be less than a 25-percent chance for me simply because he plays a position where few make it and we've yet to see him perform in a game. As we see more and more of them, those numbers will change. The true freshmen whose path I really like are: - Owens - Wingo - Livingstone - Washington - Cruz - Baker - January - Simmons - Umeozulu - Smith - I have not seen enough of either running back as yet and all of the DBs are TBD for me. I also really like the frames of Melvin Hills and Nate Kibble on the lines of scrimmage but have not seen enough of them yet either that makes me lean me one way or the other.
  8. Pinning this. Great post.
  9. Harold Carmichael?
  10. Love this one!!! Bolden is probably a more natural receiver than either Walls or Jones. Perhaps a tad less explosive than both.
  11. FYI. - Confirmed with Texas Sports Info that Jones walked on to the basketball team. - I don’t think Bolden is 5-9 or 175. - I personally have yet to see Bolden truly open it up. Not sure if he’s as fast as Dell or Jones that way.
  12. Only guy I can remember at Texas who would be somewhat similar is Tony Jones. Jones was very slight yet played multiple years in the NFL. He was also the last three sport athlete at Texas I can recall - football, basketball and track. And Jones held the school record in the 200m for years I believe.
  13. Continue to be impressed by the three running backs; their frames, their abilities, etc. Good group.
  14. Silas Bolden with what looked like a wrong route in early drills.
  15. Johntay Cook dropped first pass on a receiver screen.
  16. "I'm tired of this {BLEEP} green jersey," Michael Taffe.
  17. Daniel Cruz may be the quickest offensive lineman on entire team.
  18. We’ll check into it further. Would be disappointing.
  19. I think the most valuable baseball card I have is a ‘58 Mantle. My favorite though is a Texas pennant from the 1975 Bluebonnet Bowl. That game really started it all for me.
  20. I truly appreciate the many of y’all who helped make this happen.
