  1. Jim Harbaugh may have better answers than me. 😉 Most concerning would be portal tampering to me.
  2. There’s depth to the department, too, IMO.
  3. That is happening as we speak. Talked to someone about that this morning. More will be announced soon.
  4. 7-6 last year and beat Utah State in Bowl game. The haves and have nots are officially separating IMO.
  5. I don’t agree with that. She created the backbone of that department in many ways. Some of her hires definitely fell flat, but the infrastructure remains and that allows for new coaches to prosper and utilize the resources of the university. I’m no one’s apologist here. But I think she was too often an easy out for people to point to when things weren’t going as planned.
  6. If you listened to the Town Hall meeting of Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte on Tuesday night, you realize just how many talented people work alongside Del Conte to make Texas athletics the best in the country. I felt like it would be informative to give a little more background info on those folks and exactly what they do. Drew Martin - If it has to do with marketing and game-day experience, Drew Martin is the person whose fingerprints are all over it. Martin also helps manage and oversee third party agreements with media behemoths like Learfield and William Morris Endeavor. Chris Plonsky - Plonsky was once the women's athletic director, but when CDC was hired, Texas unified the athletic department into one outfit for both men and women. CDC, however, did not clip the wings of Plonsky in the process. Instead, she has continued to help build Texas women's athletics into the juggernaut it is and CDC gives her due credit in the process. Andrew Hamor - One of the leads of the Longhorn Foundation, Hamor helps CDC find the funds for various athletic department projects. While CDC is the forward facing fundraiser for the athletic department, Hamor is someone almost every major Longhorn donor knows. Ricky Brown - The former fullback for Ricky Williams is one of the heads of outreach from the athletic department to former players. Shawn Eichorst - He's the deputy. Eichorst is CDC's right-hand man, the "glue" that keeps it all together. The former Nebraska AD is a voice of experience that CDC can count on. Sarah Baumgardner - Baumgardner works directly with Texas coaches to fix issues that arise on a daily basis. She works hand-in-hand with CDC. Fernando Lovo - All those pretty new facilities and their functionality? That's Lovo's job, to execute the vision, work with the general contractors, architects, and the university, to make sure it all comes out to plan. Rob Novak - The CFO of Texas athletics. He makes sure the money is there, not just for next month, but for large projects well into the future. While CDC is a gifted administrator and fundraiser, the success of Texas athletics is far from a one-man show, and that's something CDC would tell you himself, and why he mentioned the folks above during his speech on Tuesday night. Hats off to all of those who help make Texas athletics the best program in the country.

  8. Some nice words there from Huhn.
  9. Thank you. We all try our best. Especially Gerry with those ad reads. 😉
  10. Knowing both of them, I would agree with this wholeheartedly. Deloss was built for another time, and I mean that in the best way. He helped put all the BBs back in the box and got important people rowing in the same direction, in part because of his true midwest style. CDC is more of a modern age AD. Still very likable and friendly, but also with an eye toward the importance and understanding that it's a big business. Like Ace said here, both great in different ways. They both had a commonality though. One-on-one with donors and fans, they are likable people.
  11. I think they both clearly helped each other. Sweat is incredible against the run IMO.
  12. There will be some attrition at other positions for the Horns come April IMO.
  13. Niblett always had the furthest to go. He was never a full-time receiver in high school. And he's not a make-you-miss in space type of receiver. He's more of a true speed guy.
  14. I'm so ready for spring ball because questions like these are ones that we want to see answered. Interested to see if we start getting more vertical threats out of the slot. That's not something Sark did with JWhitt.
  15. Roy was definitely more talented, no matter what the high school ratings said. And I was part of those ratings and can say I made a clear mistake on that one.
  16. This is one of the big ones IMO.
  17. From what I’ve been told, Texas has not made that decision yet.
  18. Thanks! Really enjoyed doing this one.
  19. When you know, you know. Really rooting for Kyle. Good rep of the University IMO.
  20. I think so.
  21. Not a problem! Gametime is ONTEXAS for $20 off first order.
  22. Gerry Hamilton is priceless.
  23. Once a week, we sit down and talk about The State of the Program. In this episode, some news we’re hearing behind the scenes, thoughts on Chris Del Conte’s town hall and the value of 11 NFL combine invites. https://youtu.be/bpZUeVqkVEM
