    Not really. He'll get touches, but it won't be much. He seems to be moving pretty good. But he's not getting 20 carries a game yet, that's for sure. You ease him back into it. Maybe if a game is a blow out, he'll get some reps. I'm not sure he has enough juice to surpass Wisner, Clark or Gibson at the moment.

    I'm so ready to see him not only get more snaps but show out. Very glad to hear this, only hope now is that Vasek can keep himself healthy and contribute some.

    He's going to get reps early on, he just won't get a massive share of them. Pretty sure we're all aware of this lol.

    What Coach Surratt has been able to achieve at Carthage is incredible. They were not very good before he got there and he's turned them into a damn monster in East Texas.

    Book it now, Permian Panthers winning state in 2025... Okay, now onto reality. I'm going with Duncanville to win D1 and Southlake Carroll to win D2. My caveat to that is that Lake Travis could be really good in 2025, so we'll see how that goes for them.

    Hope he gets it healed for our game, otherwise our pass rush is going to cause him trouble.

    Well he's from an Air Raid offense, right? From my recollection of the air raid, it's all about getting your WR's the ball and letting them do the work, no? So short passes, etc.

    Mr Mateer, may I introduce you to Mr Hill, Mr Burke, Mr Spence, Mr Moore and Mr Simmons, they'll be making sure your date with the dirt goes well this year.

    I think Hutson is underrated. Started as a Fr and got lots of reps his Soph year (before being injured) and as a Jr. Think he'll do well at C.

    Maybe a weird question to ask still a bit out from the season, but what are the projected starters? I know the boys will eventually get to that but what are people thinking?

    Honestly, I agree. I think we do beat them. Think our front 7 is going to give not only Ohio State but pretty much any team complete fits. It's not that we don't have things we had to replace, but I'm confident in what we retained and what was brought in and coming up, that this will be a great for Texas.

    Ironically, I think the WR's we have, Arch probably has a great connection with. Maybe even the TE's. The addition of guys like Mosley and Endries will help, too. But I think Wingo is going to h ave a huge year. Not only with more reps, but with his connection with Arch. What are expecting the starting group and 2 deep to look like?

    That's fair, a lot of people seem to think that.

    I don't really know. It will be interesting to see. I'm not really trying to target anyone specifically, just Coach Sark because he's not only the HC but also the playcaller. But it could be a combination of the two? We'll see how Arch handles being the guy moving forward. Year 1 I can kinda forgive, because it was his first year but we've had a lot of close games that shouldn't have been. Like the ones you mentioned, for an example. Even the SEC championship game, with all the great chances they had and still couldn't get it done.

    Don't forget Shipley the K from Texas State. Hoping we can get back some more consistency at that position.

    I don't know the in's and outs of that, but it was a trend under Ewers, so maybe? I'd just like to see a bit more of a killer instinct is all.

    I'm not even talking in just the 4th quarter though. Several games, even just last year could've been put away a lot earlier and yet we let teams hang around. Just the way I see it. I'm not saying a good running game isn't the key but we've also failed to run the ball even behind a legit OL with 3 years of experience playing together. Like I said, he lacks killer instinct in games to put teams away earlier than the 4th quarter.

    I honestly don't see him getting 4k, but that's just my opinion. Coach Sark has a tendency to turtle up instead of (unironically?) putting his foot on the gas. That's my only grievance about Coach Sark, is he lacks killer instinct to finish games out. Though I suppose he thinks or wants to finish games out pounding the rock. So maybe that's a harsh criticism on my part. Here's hoping though.

    I have a feeling we're not landing him, but what I've seen of him, he's very impressive. Great upside for an Edge prospect. I believe he was the one who gave Ojo the run around in that camp a few weeks back, no?

    We've got some crazy pass rush capabilities this year. Hill, Spence, Moore, Simmons and hell even Burke. With the guys we added at the interior from the portal, plus a guy like January, they are going to cause a lot of teams fits. I also forgot that Hill was 6'3 235, lord almighty lol.

    Where did Bobby lie? It's not about having an ego, it's just a fact. Our D last year kept us in games that years prior would've had us getting spanked with poor offensive performance. Tennessee was not that good last year. Our D would've ripped their Fr QB to shreds.
