drag worm Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago If this holds up it's the final death nail in college sports. Way to go Tech! You did it! Quote
syracusehorn Posted 46 minutes ago Posted 46 minutes ago The only way that schools will be able to protect college athletics is to form a new league that excludes Texas Tech this fall. The entire college sports landscape ends if the 2026-2027 season includes players known to have bet on their own teams. It will essentially become pro wrestling. Sure there will be some fans, but outcomes will not be competitive. And OTF needs a new sponsor if their attorney is defending the killing of college sports. 3 Quote

Mark Futrell Posted 32 minutes ago Posted 32 minutes ago A sad day for Sports and specifically Team Sports. In a legal manner (which is where this ended) this is an "eligibility" issue and there has been many cases contesting "eligibility"; such as, Red Shirt, Waivers, Transfers through The Portal, Grades and even conflicts with law enforcement, etc. With this news today, why not bring Patrick Mahommes back?. He has won NFL MVPs and Super Bowls., so what is left there for him? TTU and Campbell can find a judge and hey, the next thing you know Mahommes is suiting up and playing in Lubbock. I mean, why not? That would be an "eligibility" issue which The NCAA does not have a winning record in cases let alone enforcement. There are no longer any lines in College Football. None. A sad day!!! Quote
Rocky P Posted 28 minutes ago Posted 28 minutes ago Has anyone checked on @Bobby Burton? He looked like he was going to explode this morning. Quote

They may be saying that publically but there have been things that make me feel like texas been playing outside the lines as well. 1)Hollywood Smothers transferring after signing and enrolling at Alabama. B) Players entering the portal with no contact clauses and signing with texas almost immediately. 4) Texas is one of the biggest spenders out there. if they were playing by the book, they would stick to the $20M number. 2 Quote

Don't have to like him or support him for that. Let him spend his money for our enjoyment and just know you will never actually use him for anything. 1 Quote
4thandFive Posted 5 minutes ago Posted 5 minutes ago I do not like this one bit. It doesn’t seem fair to the other colleges, college athletes, the fans, or the rule makers. That being said, I still pray for the young man’s soul. That’s more important than how many football games he plays. Quote
khorn5 Posted 2 minutes ago Posted 2 minutes ago Can the NCAA just keep TT out of the playoffs. If they play Sorsby they ban them from Tournament Quote
Cody72 Posted 2 minutes ago Posted 2 minutes ago So how long does it take to hear from some of the Iowa state players that got banished from college sports because of the same thing? I wonder if they will try to regain some form of eligibility. Wouldn’t rule it out with how insane this is getting. This is a disgrace to sports in every form Quote
Thanos72 Posted 1 minute ago Posted 1 minute ago This is what happens when the country decides money and power are all that matters. This is not a political post but this is a byproduct of America in 26. We keep pretending that ignoring the rule of law and giving only the rich a voice won’t impact everything eventually. We’re reaping now but maybe we’ll start to care. Cody embodies everything wrong today. My only reply on this subject so no hammer needed. Quote
