Ron Ajatrom Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago this might be a 6-0 game. Paraguay has no midfield that can help them get control of the game lol. 2 Quote

Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 14 hours ago Author Moderators Posted 14 hours ago This is probably the most dominant half of soccer I’ve ever seen from a USMNT squad 4 Quote

Roy Hinojosa Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago This is the most physical I've seen team USA ever. It's usually the other way around Quote

Paul L Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Probably should have had a few more in the second half but it has been a solid 90 minutes. side note: Paraguay has cool jerseys Quote

nick p Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago How does Alexi Lalas still have a job on the analysts deck? He’s been so bad for so many years on ESPN and FOX 2 Quote

Im going to enjoy it, but I am cautiously optimistic. Paraguay looked slow, unathletic and disorganized. Great 1st game for confidence, but will be playing better opponents. Quote
Jonas Peterson Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago No team except Spain has scored more than 2 goals against Paraguay in the world cup in the last 40 years. Spain beat them 3-1 twice and they lost to England 3-0 in 1986. Quote
Little Carmine Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Pulisic had someone kick his calf so him out at halftime was purely precautionary since it happened in practice recently, fortunately he’s fine. That Reyna outside of the boot goal, chef’s kiss 1 Quote

He’s been so bad for so many years on ESPN and FOX Alexi Lalas still being on the analyst desk is the clearest proof that networks don’t actually care about analysis - they care about noise. He’s not there to break down tactics, he’s there to say something loud enough that people tweet about it. That’s literally his whole job description at this point. If you want actual insight, you’re watching the wrong broadcast. If you want a guy who mistakes volume for expertise, well… that’s why Lalas keeps getting renewed. 1 Quote
