Key Injuries by Timeline: 2020 (High School Junior): Missed six games following core-muscle surgery before returning to lead Southlake Carroll to the state championship game. 2021 (Freshman at Ohio State: Redshirted. 2022 (Redshirt Freshman at Texas): Missed three games after suffering a sprained/injured left clavicle (collarbone) from a hit by Alabama's Dallas Turner. 2023 (Redshirt Sophomore at Texas): Missed two games with a Grade 2 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder sustained against Houston. 2024 (Redshirt Junior at Texas): Suffered an oblique strain (torn oblique) initially flagged or worsened around the Michigan and UTSA games, causing him to miss two full games and parts of another. This allows Miami to likely keep one QB on cutdown day and sign a backup on Monday 2 Quote
