Probably 2 or 3. Nick Mullens was the 2 and and Carter Bradley the 3 prior to the trade.

Wow, I guess the new guy didn't think as highly of QE as McDaniel did. Sounds like a totally unnecessary horizontal move. Really makes no sense.

Jaguars are much better than the Dolphins, and Cohen is a pretty good offensive coach. Hopefully Quinn can solidify a spot and remain for a while.

A lot of rumors of Miami cutting Quinn after his preseason performances,  so this is only upside

ESPN is indicating that Mullens will likely get cut, so QE will have a good shot at being QB2.  This is a good spot for him with Cohen as his new coach.

Thankfully, I didn't order my QE jersey from Miami.

It would be helpful if Quinn could stay injury free for a season.
 

Key Injuries by Timeline:

2020 (High School Junior): Missed six games following core-muscle surgery before returning to lead Southlake Carroll to the state championship game. 

2021 (Freshman at Ohio State: Redshirted.

2022 (Redshirt Freshman at Texas): Missed three games after suffering a sprained/injured left clavicle (collarbone) from a hit by Alabama's Dallas Turner. 

2023 (Redshirt Sophomore at Texas): Missed two games with a Grade 2 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder sustained against Houston.

2024 (Redshirt Junior at Texas): Suffered an oblique strain (torn oblique) initially flagged or worsened around the Michigan and UTSA games, causing him to miss two full games and parts of another. He later dealt with a severe (Grade 3) ankle sprain in November against Kentucky, though he played through it. 

2025 (NFL - Miami Dolphins): Suffered a right knee/hip-drop style injury in the regular-season finale against the New England Patriots on January 4, 2026.

2026 (NFL - Miami Dolphins): More recently, he pulled a right groin muscle during an August 2026 preseason game against the Washington Commanders, forcing him to miss a preseason contest against the New York Giants before returning to practice.

Yeah, the trade was horizontal. A 2028 sixth round pick for a 2025 six round pick. I didn't say that QE had any say in the move.

This is a decent move for QE, the dolphins have been a dumpster fire for a while. It is a bummer he won’t get to play with DJ and Taaffe this season.

Still not going to do much for him. Needs to get healthy, work on his body more and figure it out. Won't see any action at Jacksonville unless Lawrence goes down.

Makes a ton of sense for Miami.  New regime and Quinn missed a lot of camp and played poorly when he had the opportunity.  This allows Miami to likely keep one QB on cutdown day and sign a backup on Monday

Quinn was a 7th rd pick and Miami received a pick swap which likely turns into nothing.  Quinn was not going to make the roster

So, Jax gets a practice squad QB and Miami gets a 6th round pick. I still don't understand why Jax would want to do that. Miami I get, but not Jax.
