Some of you guys are so emotional I'm glad that yall aren't the ones making decisions. Can you guys name me Texas OL that were drafted before Kyle flood got here outside of Sam cosmi ? The guy that turned Christian jones into a draftable guy that's still in the league making $$. And is about to have another tackle drafted highly again. I bet some of yall were the ones calling for PKs job after the first season too. He's replacing 4 starters with inexperienced guys. Now if you want to say the should've went to the portal okay i get that, but to call for his job some of you guys better be careful what you ask for and remember what Texas football truly was before this staff got here. Trust that they'll figure out and these guys grow and learn through there mistakes.

From the comments, you wouldn’t know we’re all fans of the Longhorns…. Crazy to me how quickly Longhorn fans turn on their own after 3 games

Questioning fandom of people who are analytical of the team and not just rah rah sun shine pumping is the most laughable thing among our fan base.

Funny, your analytics were MIA when you claimed Michigan’s defense last year wasn’t elite, because Michigan having an elite unit wouldn’t have suited your narrative well.

Bump, this is fact. The problem with the offense isn't the offensive line. It is a contributing factor but there are much bigger problems.

4 starters from last year made NFL rosters.

If that doesn't buy a coach a little more grace than this, I don't know what does.

Which means we have 4 new starters this year!  And that isnt counting tight ends, and receivers.

You guys need to 'get a grip'.  We essentially have 10 new starters on offense!  Offense just takes time.  If you dont believe me look around the SEC and see which offenses are clicking early..........they all have great experience at QB and O-line.

PS: Mateer is doing great!  But this is his 3rd year in that system.  Remember OU brought his coach with him....a very shrewd move.

You guys really forget how bad the OL was during the Strong/Herman days.

This is a solid step back from the last three years, but it is still better than that overall slop.

This is a common sentiment. It's also gibberish. By your logic, Herman should still be coaching at Texas because he was better than Strong. Why fire Herman if there are worse coaches out there? The standard isn't "better than the worst coach(es) in recent memory." For Flood, it's fielding a championship caliber o-line. He hasn't done that at Texas and he sure isn't doing it this year.

Not by much. Herm was a better game day coach than Charlie but recruiting ground to a halt. But to compare either staff with this one is gibberish.

As much as I might agree with you, a lot of the fan base doesn't take well to criticism of Flood. That and Sark has blind faith in Flood, he's been with him at 3 different stops now, I believe. Atlanta, Bama and now Texas. While he says the right things and came in sound great, I've been less than impressed with his product on the field for the past 5 years.

For some reason our big humans can't get in and push teams around on the LOS, even lowly UTEP and SJSU.

Maybe becton is also overrated

Worst take in the history of OTF. Can't wait to see what tops it.

Yours? What are you dismissing? Who can he be credited with developing? C Jones? Okay. Who else? The super star class entered and left with the same level they entered. Banks was gonna Banks. Hutson, Campbell , Neto all multiple year players and are well below average. Never mind. If you can’t see it after 5 years of film, my words are useless.

I wouldn't have a clue about that stuff, I've always heard a ton of praise for Becton.

I don't disagree with what you're saying but many of t hese guys have been in the same system for 2-3 years now. I also understand not having experience, but Campbell and Hutson have a ton of snaps between the two of them. now if you want to say Hutson is starting for the first time at C, I'll go with that.

I just don't think people expected it to look this bad. Inexperienced, yes. But what's the point of having a system in place if you still look this bad executing out there? Campbell is still making the same mental mistakes and errors he was when he first started as a Soph.
